I missed it...or did I?

I had to work a 2 to 9:30 shift yesterday at my Advance Auto. When I got there at about 1:50, my GM(he's a German car guy)said that I had just missed a Black Hellcat that had parked in the corner of the lot where I usually park. Seems we had a lot of people in the store and the guy just walked in, looked around, and walked out. That being, nobody really could verify that it was a HC by going to look at it. And none of the guys could accurately describe the hood or the grille.

The one thing they said was the wheels were not all black, which leads me to believe it wasn't. So I think it was a case of mistaken identity. What does my GM know anyway?

I still have not seen one on the road here although I know there were a few sold here.
There's been one hanging with my Mopar friends on the mainland, but it hasn't been around the times I was there.....soon......worst case - I'll have to wait for the Florida Mopar show in early March.....guaranteed to see one then.......
Sounds like maybe you missed a Scat Pack.
I saw one yesterday when I met up with John (Skylane765), our fellow Z member and vendor who owns ZL1 Add-ons and manufactures the magpads. John had asked me to come over with my R/T so he could make a template using my Challenger's wheel well for a mudflap he had already designed for the 2015 Challengers.

The pitch black Hellcat was parked in John's garage next to his Camaro Z28. He had just taken delivery of it a week before. Dan, his Cat was outfitted with all black wheels, although he mentioned that he had wanted to get the brass monkey wheels. John bought the Hellcat for his girlfriend. The interior was all black with red seat belts, so you know I was a fan!
I have seen one in my area, a deep water blue and when I came along side with the thumbs up the guy never even looked up. Definately not a car guy but he had a HellCat.............Oh well.
If you are near Jacksonville Fl there are 2. I own 1 and it draws a crowd where ever we go. Its hard to believe but between burn outs and interstate I get over 16 MPG but uncle sam still hit me with the gas guzzler tax.

Welcome to the Z! Congrats on owning a Hellcat! Post a pic or 2 when you can and when you get a chance fill in the vitals for the upper right corner. Enjoy the Journey! Lou.
i found it hard to believe a parts guy didn't know for sure what type of Challenger he was looking at.

Back when I had my TBirds I had a " parts guy " ask if that was a Chevy.
Just because they work at a parts place dont mean they know cars.

btw sticking with the thread I have seen and touched ( yes I feel good about that ) a blackish grey Hellcat. it was sweet and yes afterwards I had to step out to have a smoke.

Here is a link to the "How To" do things in this forum. http://www.challengerforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=75
Had a black one here at the St. Louis auto show. There was so many people around it you could hardly get a good look at it.
I went to the Washigton DC Auto Show last week and I was a bit surprised that Dodge was not displaying a Hellcat there.
I have yet to see ANY 2015 Challenger in the wild, much less a HC.
I haven't seen a 2015 Challenger on the roads here in baltimore yet.
Get to see at least one Hellcat today at our clubs meet and greet looking forward to that.
