Long story short, I've been working on my Project Management degree for several years (7) now (part time) and the (apparent) slow progress on top of a difficult class loading this year had me thinking about taking a year off then finishing it off. The wife knows how difficult this year has been and knows that I've been considering taking a year off.
Well Friday night after finishing up my homework and class assignments just before midnight, I told her I needed some serious motivation to take the last class this year after I finish the one that I am currently enrolled it. She reminded me that I could apply for better jobs with better pay, bla, bla, bla. I looked at her and said that those motivators had lost their effect but thanks for trying. Then she reminded me that I can get a new challenger as a graduation present. "Yea hon, that's nice but graduation's still a year and a half off and besides you have already given me permission to get one" was my response.
She immediately came stomping over and got in my face (and I was thinking great now I've pissed her off) and said that yea she knew that she had said that I could get a new one but did she mention that it has to be a Scat Pack? :SHOCKED:
SAY WHAT? A SCAT PACK? :SHOCKED::Wow1::SHOCKED: Yup it turns out that I wasn't dreaming or hearing things, the other half wants me to get a scat pack when I graduate!!! :smileup:
For the sake of brevity it is at this point that I will leave out the three or four paragraphs that I could write thanking her.
Well after talking to her about it, it turns out that she picked on a 5.0 Mustang with my SXT+ and needless to say got her doors blown off. A few weeks later one of her friends at work husband bought her a SRT and my wife got to drive it after her friend had one too many glasses of wine at lunch one day. The SRT scared the pants off her (waaaaay to much power for her skill level not to mention her nerve) so she thought the Scat Pack would be just right for me. Personally I'm thinking that she wants me to tangle with that Mustang.
But who cares!
Only 5 and a half classes (or a year and a half) until I can order my Scat Pack! Now THAT'S motivation! :smileup:
