I could see right away it's not a convertible but though I wouldn't do it to my car it does add some more retro to it. Is it vinyl or that cloth looking kind of stuff? Kind of makes it look like a Granny car. Plus I don't know if there's a right color car that would look good on. Enjoy the Journey! Lou.

Agree with challengerfan. Looks to be well done, but not something I would do to my car....you'd be able to see ribs in the roof on a ragtop.

I think they were going for the vinyl top look, not trying to look like a convertible. I've read about a few people trying to do this mod, to each his own but not something I'd want to do.

I guess a vinyl top is okay since it recalls the 1st-gen Challengers (though I couldn't do it).

But, fake tonneau snaps are just as ridiculous now as they were in the '80s and '90s.

So, don't stop now. It's begging for gold-tone emblems & grille, a fake Continental kit and those luggage-strap-and-buckle things on the deck lid.

It was meant to look like a convertible - the top material was not vinyl but more of a cloth like texture. And the snaps are the give-away that it is a (fake) rag top and not a vinyl roof.

Wait a couple of days the dealer will add those too.

A few years ago the wife was looking for a new truck. A Ford dealership had an F250 Crew Cab 4x4 on the lot, it had a 6 inch lift, chrome rims, brush guard, roll bar, K/C lights etc. I asked if it was used and the salesman said no. He said we added all of the after market items just to see who would buy it.

Of course you see that it is a fake but i think it looks good. It seems to be well done. Nothing i would do to my car but everyone has a different taste.

Well I hate it. If it was just a vinyl top it would be OK. I can remember when the fake convertible tops were big, late 80's maybe? I hated them then. They even had a fiberglass over lay that would go on top of the roof to duplicate the bows in a real convertible top.

I've seen a few in person......I wouldn't do it, but done right it can look good.

While I would not do it, those 2 look pretty good to me. I always thought a silver car looked great with a black vinyl top.
