So the wife and I were parked at a drive through entrance when the car in front of us suddenly starts briskly backing up. I threw it into reverse but, alas, I was not quick enough. 2003 Yukon slammed into my front bumper and driver's side headlight. My first accident ever! The other driver was very cooperative and actually turned out to be someone I went to high school with. Got his info and I'll be contacting my insurance company in the morning to see what the next step is, but, damn....:shakehead:

Thanks! I'm thinking I should be able to get her looking great again without much trouble (hopefully). It could have been MUCH worse so I consider myself lucky. My glass is half full! Lol

Keep us posted when you get her fixed up! I won't be driving my Challenger much this week either. It will be -15 tonight and -17 tomorrow night. Only a high of 2 degrees tomorrow with all the snow we have on the ground. It is killing me that I can't go outside to give her a wash!

I honestly don't know and didn't bother to ask. There were four or five hyper children in the vehicle so I'm thinking they were a bit distracted and had no idea I was behind them. Just a sorry situation all around.

My wife had exactly the same thing happen in Dec '13 to my previous orange Challenger. It was one week old. A 60s something lady just backed up in the bank drive through lane and dented the left front bumper. My wife asked how did you miss that big orange thing in the mirror! But the lady did not see it for whatever reason. She felt terrible especially with it being a brand new one week old car. Her insurance fixed it right up just fine. No problem. You will be fine soon. It happens.

Thanks for all the good will, guys! I contacted the insurance company and an adjuster will be sent out to assess the damage. I'm just hoping to get this all behind me sooner, rather than later. And, trust me, my first instinct was to blow up but I put myself in their (unfortunate) shoes. As bad as it is for my Chally, it's not my insurance rates that are going up. It's theirs.
