I joined the forum just to ask about the movie Vanishing Point.

What I remember from seeing this movie in the early 70's in a local theater and after watching the Vanishing Point CD I just bought on eBay seem to be very, very different.

PS: The 70 Challenger 440 6 pac with a 4 speed is like my ultimate dream car. I had a 1969 SS 396 (later with a 427/435 HP Corvette engine) back then. I internet search for 70 Challengers occasionally. A really nice one is like 60-80k up to like $125k. I may never own one but it is certainly on my very short list of cars I would like to own one day.

Not sure what differences you are seeing uless you did confuse the remake with the original. In either case, that movie was the main reason my first Challenger was white.
