True Enough

Yes, I am sure I am a lot closer than some, but then again I placed the order on 9/11 so what else should I expect but pure chaos! Hahahaha. SRT originally told me and placed on my POC that this same car was supposed to have been shipped on 10/24! Well, I guess that didn't happen huh? Oh but wait. The communication and information highway gets even better. I have been in D1 status since Sep and went straight from D1 to KZ today without even so much as one update (email or voice from SRT) or status change notification even though I call at least 3 times a week. As of This past Wed I was D1. Today (Fri) my son looked it up in dealer connect and saw KZ status and he was able to pull down the invoice on the car. So long story short is I went straight from D1 to KZ in matter of 1 day.

I say all of this not so much in disgust, but rather to give all of you out there that may be in the same boat and feel that my story is all to familiar, please know that there is hope. The GREAT news you have been waiting for can come ALL AT ONCE! Hahahaha. In the end, although it would have been nice to get some updates along the way, ultimately it would not have changed the rate of build. All that really matters now is that IT IS ALIVE and will be home soon

Congrats, shouldn't be long now. It took 6 months for me to get my 2014 SRT, so it looks like you are experiencing a shorter wait time for a Hellcat than I had for a SRT Core LOL.

245pacer have you called the SRT Hotline (customer service...855 778 8326)? By all means call them as often as you like and give them the last 8 of the VIN and they will be more than happy to tell you any updates they have. To include once it is build and released from the plant where it is at.

FYI FOR ALL. According to SRT the website they advertised for updates is and has been inop for a loooooong time and there is no estimated fix. So don't think your ever gonna be able to get in or at least no time soon. Like many of you, I have NEVER received ANY updates from anyone by email or other wise either. Any updates I received I got from initiating the call and finding out myself. I did complain to the SRT rep (not formally...just vented a bit) on the phone about this lack of communication but also did tell them that no matter if I would have received updates that I realize that it would not have had any effect on the rate of build or location etc, but that it just would have been nice to know along the way because it is such an exciting opportunity to get a car like this. They agreed and apologized but it changes nothing hahahaha.

I call SRT about every other day to see if my cat moved at all. Yesterday I finally got tired of always getting the same answer of "it's still in Buffalo, NY." So I though I would take a chance and see if the rep could tell me what it is still doing there and why it is there. They said it is a holding facility waiting for transportation. For the life of me can't understand why they didn't tell me that the first time instead of making me think it was already in transit! The whole time I though my Cat was on a truck but the trucker just had to wait overnight due to miles traveled etc. but after repeatedly calling and getting the same result I asked what the deal was and that is when they told me. Furthermore it is not scheduled by truck transport it is scheduled for rail. I don't care how it gets to the dealer but get it there. Hell I will drive to NY and pick it up myself! Hahahaha

Communication in any dialogue is important. Customer service reps, of all people, should know that too. I mean this is my first order purchase and I dont know their system and should not be expected to know. The reps should be the one pushing info to us and not the other way around. I mean I don't know what I don't know right? So how do I know what to ask if I don't know what I should ask?

So once again fellow Hellcat owners hang in there and learn what you can from me and my endevours so you can be better informed and not get to discouraged or think you are alone in the communication black hole because you aren't! Hahahaha. I KNOW we will ALL be completely satisfied and all look back on all this when we finally do get the "Holy grail" of muscle cars and say the wait was worth it. Best of luck and I can hardly wait to drive this beast!

I called SRT customer service today and learned my Cat is in on the move! Yesterday it was in Buffalo, NY and has been there for a few weeks (it is a shipping hold area). Well as of today the Cat was last located in Ohio and has an estimated dealer delivery date 19 Dec (next Fri). If it keeps moving then hopefully it will be in Macon GA sooner than that. I am sooooo excited!

Congrats only a few sleeps now . Have you told the dealer not to touch it , that you want the window sticker with your name ect . I think some at my dealership think I'm a bit nutty . I hope you have a busy week or the anticipation will kill ya . Mine is being painted right now .

Yeah the dealership knows all my requirements hahaha. The window sticker is to be clean and rip free and I even told them not to wash it or send it through detail. I will do it myself and make sure it is done I right and without scratches. My sin is my sales manager and has given all instruction that when it comes in he is the only one who drives it to get gas and the keys stay with him until I get there!

^^^ You can phone the SRT hotline ( they are very nice ) . I pretty sure KZ means it has been shipped so that's what they will tell you . Best get hold of the dealer as they will have an idea of train , truck ect to that particular dealership . Happy waiting .

I pick up my Hellcat today! (Supposedly anyway!) Reportedly, It will be at the dealer by 10am this morning ( I only know this because my son called me late last night to inform me otherwise I would have no idea about this). So I am going to work as normal this morning and wait till I get firm word that the unicorn is actually on the ground before I take off work to go get it. The delays and inaccurate information through this whole car buying experience has been frustrating at best. I am sure I will love the car but I doubt I will ever order one through Dodge ever again until they can get their crap all in one sock. With today's technology there should be no reason they could not tell you (reliably) where the build is at every step of the way (with scan technology) and where it is at in the transit phase (accurately). Then to top it all off. They should have way better coordination scheduled ahead of time for transfer from rail (train) to ground (truck) so that when it gets to the transfer destination (Fromm rail to ground) it don't sit there for weeks end! Mine has been sitting in Atlanta since Sat and only has to travel about 45 min or so to the dealer and it has been there just waiting. Ridiculous!

Awesome guys! I'm glad y'all are getting your cats in today! The feeling is incredible driving up to the dealership and seeing it for the first time knowing it is YOUR car. And the first time you start it up and hear that exhaust tone...mmm mmm mmm! Congrats again! Cant wait to see the pictures up here!
