Has anyone changed the left temperature blend door actuator on a 2015 or later Challenger? If so, did the steering column need to be removed for access (as noted in the factory shop manual) or was it able to be replaced by just removing the lower dash trim pieces?

The steering column does not have to come out. Just the trim pieces. However.... you need to work blind and do everything by feel alone. Some can, some can't. It depends on your level of experience working in the dark and being able to identify by touch. And, it's really tight in there.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like a limited space to work in, but definitely doable. The earlier dual zone units calibrated themselves, but I can find that info for the current vehicles. Do you know if you need to recalibrate the new actuator with the Dodge scan tool or does it calibrate itself once installed?

It should calibrate itself. No worries. Be careful of sharp edges on the under-dash framework.
