I am trying to get coilovers for my challenger, my front wheels are 275/45/20 and I have about a half inch in-between the wheel and the upper control arm bolt, I'm afraid that I won't be able to lower at all. is this something I shouldn't worry about or is their something I can do to avoid it.

Don't worry, that bolt won't get any closer to your tire from lowering. The only way the tire is going to get closer is if you put a larger diameter tire on since the whole spindle assembly moves as a unit. Now tires hitting the wheel wells are another issue.
