Question: On the 6.4L MDS Engine how do you know when the engine is operating on 4 cylinders. I have the 15 Scat Pack with the MDS and have no clue. There are no indicators that I know of and I never feel it if it works.

My 2013 R/T has the eco light come on, so then I assume that it is operating on 4 cyclinders.

I can hear mine kick in by the sound it changes a little never paid attention to the RPM's,put it in manual shift mode and drive it then switch to auto and see if you can tell the difference.

I have a 2014 and the eco light displays when it is in 4 cylinder mode, also there is a slight exhaust sound change.

You can definitely hear it in the exhaust I leave the digital speedo showing all the time on mine,I think I have mine turned off in the performance section.

go in EVIC and turn on eco display that should do it

My 2012 kicks up 50 rpm when it goes into eco-mode.

How can i tell the difference in looks physically between NON MDS lifters vs MDS lifters ? Reason i ask is because i will have a bigger CAM installed soon and want to go away from my current MDS lifters.
