Hi, does it matter if I run a MDS or non-MDS 392 cam in a 5.7?

I hear the MDS lifters are being swapped out when running the non-MDS cam due to the higher lift, but what if the MDS cam is used and the MDS lifters are left in place?? it should be ok, right?

I only know of one person online that ran the MDS 392 cam while most are running the non-MDS version.

What year is your car, and what do you want? There are lots of option now, I personally custom grid all the cams I use in customer cars. Depending on their application. Of you are wanting to get rid of the mds and you are doing a cam swap. I would also suggest removing the mds solenoids and buy the plus at the dealer. They are about 8 dollars each.
