I love the travelogue threads! Thank you for posting.

And your pictures remind me that I am so incredibly blessed to NOT have to worry about snow. My challenge right now is getting the pollen washed off the car -- it's pine and oak pollen season here in North Florida. Thank God it rained last night to wash some of it out of the air.

That's really a nice area to drive along the river.

Cool thread! I may have to steal the idea when/if I ever go anywhere lol! I have kids and end up in the SUV 95% of the time.

    Feb. 14:
Drove the T/A into work today. On the way, a cop car was pulled off to the side of the road with his lights flashing...I slowed down and was soon maneuvering through debris. A mini-van had hit a deer. Totaled the van. The deer seem to be very active in the early morning and at dusk as of late. Four miles later one is in the middle of my lane. I slammed on those Brembo brakes; came within ten feet of hitting the darn thing. My heart stopped for a brief moment I kid you not. I think if I had been driving one of our other cars I would've certainly hit it. But the brakes on the T/A are just amazing. Anyway, I got a good scare. Wasn't fun.

Pic #1: Warming up in the driveway at 4am.

Pic #2: Stopped at Fleet Farm after work to buy a new pair of steel toed shoes. Once again I parked away from everybody.

Pic #3: Washed all the salt off my baby. :D

On the way home I sprung ahead of a semi while merging onto the interstate. He was actually ahead of me when I entered the on-ramp. I gunned it and flew ahead, then had to hit the brakes to keep clear of a car that was ahead of us both. I was only going 105mph so it wasn't too hard to slow down ;)
