Any thoughts on a mid muffler delete vs a rear muffler/rear resonator delete? I want to put quad tips on but not sure they will fit without doing a resonator delete. I dont want to piss off every neighbor, so I wanted to check if doing one vs the other made a difference. Or if anyone can recommend quad tips without having to remove the resonator I would appreciate it! Thanks!

I'd keep the resonators and swap on some Dynomax mini race bullet mufflers in place of the stock mufflers. It sounds pretty cool with those. Muffler delete would obviously be even louder.

I did the Dynomax race bullets, and the MFER-1 to keep the exhaust valves open. Love the sound,no drone at highway speeds and very loud cold starts. Much less than any catback system. I dont know much about quad tips since I like to factory tips. I painted mine black, I didnt like the stainless tips on a car with no other silver.
My first exhaust mod was Thrush Welded Mufflers and Resonator delete. Wasn't bad, while cruising there was a lot of resonance in the cabin but I don't mind it, especially when the wife got to talking about work on a weekend cruise, I could hit the "sweet spot" and forget she was there.

I have Muffler Delete and its a tad loud on start up but only for a minute and I love the sound. Dont think it's too loud at all when just cruising, and when you get on it, it sounds just perfect.....
I do think the 2.62 A8 makes it work and I do hear people say its too loud with manual and more gear

And yes the Kitty is like driving on ice even with DR's at 25lbs (but now I have the 18x10 / 305 NT 05R's and it's completely different, (time to make a new vid, LOL)

I have the TrackHawk tips. I like them better than the stock rectangle look. Plus they are black chrome. Satisfied my urge to change anything else on my exhaust because what I really want is way too much money (Magnaflow X Mod)

I agree, saw a reddit post where someone did it opposite and it didn't look as good, but to each their own. Also like the orange wheel caps, nice touch of color.
Thanks, took me awhile to find the vinyl wrap for those to match my engine accents but I like it.
Leave the rear resonators (don't want drone}, and replace the mids with Vibrant 1794's. It what's I did along with Z Automotive exhaust valve delete modules and couldn't be more pleased.

So, finally got my mid mufflers replaced today. Went with the Vibrants and am very pleased so far. While during normal driving they are just a little louder than stock, they are deeper and that was what I was looking for. Under strong acceleration they really start to liven up and at WOT, well...
