You'll see with that link that all 275/40 tires suggest at least a 8.5 wheel width.
Problem I see with that site is you go from Challenger, to RT, to 392 to Hellcat. No Scat Pack in the drop down. The RT oem at 235 is no help
The majority of wheel/tire sites call for a 9" minimum wheel width for a 275/40 tire, depending on the tire.
When in doubt, go to the mfrs site(they're the ones providing the warranty) and see what they have to say.
In the case of the BFGoodrich g-Force COMP-2 A/S 275/40/20 tire, they show Rim Width Range (Min/Max) of 9" - 11".
With the published sectional width based on a 9.5" rim width.
You’re an animal. Freakin encyclopedia and very much appreciated
I talked to Tire Rack a couple of times prior to the rims and tires I liked. They felt the Comp 2 AS 275 should be great on a 9.
Inplan on throwing some Holy Water on them prior to Saturday’s install.
Mix a little bleach in with the holy water, it will help the traction.
Lmao! If they don’t fit up front I’ll drink it!
Ever get down to Derry area?
No...I have a nephew that moved up there a long time ago. Think he works for the post office. Last time I saw him he had a black Charger.
Well maybe I’ll bump into you on the 128 belt. I commute to Salem,Mass.
Yes, it sucks.
I am considering the MT's myself but I am looking at a staggered set up 245/45 up front and 305/35 in the rear
M/T has both sizes in the Street Comps...
So Jack44...do you have the comps in the front and the MT 305/35-20 ET Street S/S DR's in the rear? How long of a burnout do you do on those S/S's. Great 60' and 1/4 mile.
Daily, I have the Street Comp 275's all around...On race day, the 305 S/S's go on...
Very short burn out , just a "Thousand one" and I'm done...
275’s on all 4 came out great. Thanks everyone for the advise. Added the black rims. I know some don’t like em but I do.
It is your car do what makes you happy no regrets
Rock on I say!
Thanks!!!! Yup 9”. This stuff is complicated for me and didn’t want issues up front or have to stagger them
I have 245 20x8 rims in the front 315 in the rears 20x11 rims , running Nitto NTO5 tyres
So how did the 315's on 11" rims work out?
Any fender well manipulation required?
Do they stick out a bit beyond the fender?
No spacers no fender well work lowered on H&R
