So my family owns a ‘16 Challenger RT. A few months ago, my dad took it in to get a curb rash fix on the wheels and he had rented a 2017 with the mopar corsa exhaust. He hasn’t stopped talking about it and I’d just like to know if anyone knows if this 2017 exhaust is the same for the 2016. My mom says the dealership says it could be louder than the 2017 as things were changer –Something like that. We are trying to get this exhaust on but before spending 1500 dollars, I’d just like to know if there’s any differences in the exhaust between the 2 years and if the sound quality is the same. Please and thank you, ladies and gents.

I would go online to YouTube and listen to exhaust sounds.

Everyone is going to have a different opinion on it.

The 17 sounds different than the 16 models but you can maybe just cut off the mid mufflers and get the sound you want for less than 100$.

I am assuming here , we all know what that does but yes there IS a difference. I know on the Charger side and I see no reason why the Challengers would be any different. The 16's ( what I have ) has the regular normal exhaust. The 17s got " active " exhaust. The same as what used to be on like the Daytona's and up. So yes there is a difference in the years.

If you add a CORSA full Cat back exhaust it is going to sound the same on any year 5.7 2009 to 2017. The MOPAR Performance is the CORSA Sport which is the middle of the road in sound volume. The CORSA extreme is the loudest.

I have the Corsa Sport on my 14 and when you get on it, it has a nice sound. I had a 16 with active exhaust, which was much louder.
