Gee, I can't understand that at all! Ha!! Hope you like them. I am overflowing with car care products. Need to sort and organize them soon!! I am getting new shelf space, just so I can store them properly.
John, what do you use to clean your windows, products and what type of cloths???

I just use microfiber towels with this glass cleaner to clean the windows, but not the same ones I use on my paint.

Got some of that very same glass cleaner for Christmas from my son! I like it. So you use the ones made for glass?? What about drying off the windows after a wash? The same type?
To be honest this has been a struggle for me. Microfiber seems to leave something on the windows, so I am now using something that costs nothing. Old recycled kitchen towels (they have no lint), old white T-shirts that would have been thrown out anyway! I can wash those babies in hot water (unlike the microfiber), and they get real clean!!

Betty, you're right. Microfiber does seem to leave a slight "fuzz", at least for me. I have had good luck with these towels on glass. http://adamspolishes.com/shop/accessories/adam-s-microfiber-glass-cleaning-towels.html. I always hand wash them alone when they need it. I've also used the "waffle" MF towels good on glass.

I'm back to using newpaper on the glass. It's slightly abrasive so it helps cut the residue off. But of course nothing helps the inside of that back glass................

I've tried almost everything , and I end up going back to paper towels, works best for me.

I use one of these for inside, works pretty good, I'll place it on the paper towel

I've got one of those too, Rob. Still breaks my back on the rear window. I'm just not as young as I used to be.

I think more than anything the back window is just in such a small area, I have small hands and still find cleaning it difficult. I am doing some interior cleaning today, so I will let you guys know how I come out!

Inside I really have great luck with the fast glass towels. Rear window is easy if I sit back there , I do it in 4 quarter sections turning the towel 4 times.

Well, my Challenger has been bugging me to buy this kit ever since I posted this thread :D so this past weekend I finally broke down and bought the Black Edge kit when Surf City Garage put their entire product line on sale for 25% off with free shipping. For $40 and change, my Challenger is now a happy camper

I have to admit this was a full on impulse buy, and it was 99% because of the label on three of the bottles. I need another basic detailing kit like I need an extra payment tacked to the end of my auto loan. But I will give these products a try very soon.

Curious of what you think, lot of people here like the Surf City products.

Looks like a temptation that no one could resist!! Let us know what you think. What kind of car wash soap do you use??? I have tried many, the only one I really liked was Turtle Wax Ice and now I can't find it anywhere. I don't really like Meguiars, or Mothers. I did use Armorall in the old days. Haven't for a long time. Would like some feedback.

Well I really like the Mequiar's Gold Class, I really do not like their ultimate car wash or their crystal car wash. I used Eagle 1 and it was ok.

Me too! Heard a lot of good things about SFC products, but I think a lot of it is generated by their nostalgia branding. They have their own detailing forum, and I have noticed some criticism of their products on their forum.

Hi Betty, I really don't user car wash shampoos anymore. I use a rinseless emulsifier called Optimal No Rinse, or ONR for short. I wrote about it in a thread I posted two years ago Washing your Challenger with 3 gallons of water. When I do use car wash soap, like for my sometimes grungy Subaru, I use Meguiars Gold Class car wash.

The most important consideration for a car shampoo is it's lubricity (slickness). I have found that a simple inverse test (turning the bottle upside down and watching the air bubble float to the top) is a good gauge of lubricity. Thinner car shampoos pop that bubble to the top instantly. Thicker shampoos tend to have greater lubricity, and the air bubble will rise to the top a little more slowly.

It's also important to preserve that lubricity by how you add it to your wash bucket. Pouring the shampoo in first and then blasting it with the hose produces a lot of foam,, but may diminish the lubricity somewhat. It's best to fill the bucket first with water, and then add the shampoo and stir it in.

But I'll pass along one of the best detailing tips I have heard (from Mike Phillips at AutoGeek): "Find something you like, and use it often"
