Completely different. The srt manifold is good
But it is a limiting factor obviously when you reach certain points

The runner length is too long in my opinion

What air flow numbers are you using for the 6.4L as a base line against which to compare your design?

Some things I just can't talk openly about
    I hope you understand that
I can say that the flat nose version is 440 cid in plenum volume and the curve nose version will be pushing 500 cid

I completely understand, and wish you luck and will be following closely. The reason I asked is I'm looking at an alternative intake that was designed for the 5.7L and produced airflow results that showed it outperformed both the stock 5.7L and the stock 6.1L. Unfortunately, no comparison test has been done comparing this plenum to the 6.4L, thus the reason I haven't pulled the trigger.

This plenum I'm referring to is the OCPerformance dual plane intake, available through MMX. I love the old school look it would provide, but won't make the investment if there's no material performance improvement...the developer of this intake is a great guy, and highly skilled, and has created a great intake, but also doesn't want me to buy one if it won't provide a performance boost.

    Joes intake works well
I do not have a comparison to give you on performance over the factory pieces
I can ask joe if he has performed any tests if you like though

It is never fun to spend a good chunk of cash and realize it didn't offer any performance gain. I assume that it require a few man/hours to do the swap, and a few other parts like gaskets. Still following the evolution of the project. I am curious and what i have seen so far looks promising .

Thanks but I talk with Joe several times a year (MSHS events, Carlisle) and he knows I'm interested. He'll get the comparative data when he can, and I'm willing to wait. He knows what I'm trying to achieve.

Now, you've given me a potential second option; thanks!

Are you naturally aspirated or will you be going with boost

I intend on staying N/A. I can't be trusted not to want to keep upping any boost, and I'm not interested in sinking the kind of money to forge internals necessary to satisfy my speed addiction boost would feed.

That intake is going to look killer! Will it fit under the standard hood?

    Thanks
    We're trying

I'm searching for a cheap or (free) broken 392 plastic intake
If anyone has one I can get cheap or free or even borrow I'll be in hog heaven

I need it to help build a jig for the curved snout version
