Still a work in progress!
I pulled the functional hood scoops out and used a 4.7" orange led strip from Oznium and put them back. The wire runs down the snorkel into the engine bay.
I put 2-28" orange led strips from oznium.
1- in a small duct thing just under the upper grill
1 - at the bottom of the lower grill (it was a PAIN!) used sticks, tongs and scraped my arms all up. If they had an extra inch of width from the radiator to the front plastic it would pretty easy.
Also got a stainless push button switch with green led ring.

Power from the red hot terminal next to the fuse box.
Ground from the fuse box ground

It's a lot harder than it seems getting everything routed, etc
I would mount the lights in the day then look at them at night with a little 12v battery pack. That took 3 days and nights
AND I still have to run the wires through the firewall and mount the switch next to the cigarette lighter port. Got it taped to the fuse box right now. Hopefully I'll get it finished tomorrow.

I'll post as many pics and such when I'm completely done...but here's a photo of it in action. This is actually the best picture I could get with my iPhone. The dark night ones look pretty bad. And it doesn't even do it justice. I'll try to get better pics with one my other cameras (that I don't really know how to use)

Well executed mod! It looks "warm" - like I could stand in front of it on a crisp autumn day and make my bones feel better.

Looks like the scoops are pretty well filled with the lights. I'm curious to know if it makes much of a difference in the operating temperature of the engine.

Well done!

Update: Almost finished
Got some more pics. Please forgive me if I can't get the pics and text in order correctly.

Here is the overall view under the hood...Not happy with the sharp bend on the left. Gonna straighten that out to go smoothly under the windshield washer groove.

Next I ran the wiring through the grommet for the trunk release behind the brake fluid reservoir. (I think that's what it is...on the drivers side.

Ran the wires through loom behind the engine cover to the passenger side where they meet up with the wiring from the snorkel lights the ran both of those in some braided loom that's almost exactly like the wrap on all the hoses...a little shinier.

The wiring from the power and ground and to the lights goes through a lighted led ring switch which I was going to mount next to the cigarette lighter but couldn't because it was going to hit on the shift assy.

So I drilled a 5/8" hole through the little change holder. It's actually a really good place. If I don't want the switches I can replace the rubber insert.
The switch is a green LED but I've ordered an amber one since the grill and snorkel lights are orange...and I've decided to put a blue one next to it to switch on and off the interior ambience lighting. So I fished a wire behind the console and pulled the wires from the grommet, behind and above the pedals under the footwell panel and up in to the console.

And here is a picture of the mounted switch. It will be replaced with an amber one and a blue one next to it. Right now the blue footwell and back seat lighting are wired in to the cigarette lighter but sometimes I guess it's better if they can be turned off.

Thanks all for the ideas!
