Hello, I am a new Challenger owner and first time poster. I was dead set on a new 2015 Mustang until I test drove a Challenger. Even though I know the 5.0 Coyote is a faster car, I was instantly hooked on the style and low end torque of the 5.7.

Most of my driving is under 70 mph, so the Hemi rumble puts a huge smile on my face!

I really wanted an RT in Sublime with the Super Track Pack, and my dealer was able to find one 3 hours away. I finally got to take her home last week, what a great way to end 2014!!

Welcome to the forum! Your car looks great, that's the color I'd go with if I were getting one right now for sure!

The 5.0's are definitely faster than our 5.7, but not the 6.4 from what I've read. Did you test drive a new Mustang? Sounds like the 5.0's don't have a lot of torque down low but they make a ton of power up high where our 5.7's die off after 5800-6000 RPM.

Congrats on the new R/T, looks great!

I did test drive a new 5.0 and the are great cars. They have a much different power band as you said. All of the power is in the mid to high rpm range. Just cruising around town the Challenger feels much faster. I have always loved the low end torque from a pushrod V8.

The selection on new Mustangs is not good here in Northwest Arkansas so I was going to custom order one. On a whim my sales guy asked me to drive a challenger before we placed the order.....turned out to be a great descision!!

Pushrod V8's rule! I'm sure the new Mustangs are sweet too. I've stopped and checked them out at dealerships before just for fun, they look nice. The 5.0 engine is definitely a rocket too.

What kind of dealership were you at though? Never heard of a Ford dealership that encouraged driving a Dodge first haha!

Noticed you got the 6 speed too. Isn't it a blast to drive? I've had mine for 4 years now and I still love driving it and shifting gears to and from work and anywhere else I go.

Yes, I am loving the six speed. For me, shifting gears makes me feel connected to the car. It's all part of the experience.

The dealership I bought from is one of those big outfits that sells multiple brands.

Now I just need to decide what my first mod will be.
