After working with Diablo over this past year I've gotten some cool things added to the 2011+ tuning abilities. (couple on the 2010 5.7). Mostly with torque management reductions. If you're still running the preloaded tunes, I recommend getting my latest tuning so you're caught up with the latest and greatest power output features.

When you mention reduced torque management on the 2010 5.7L, were you able to eliminate the timing pull that occurs momentarily after each shift on the 6 speed cars?

I got a custom email tune from Johan at Diablosport a couple years ago and am very happy with it, just wondering if you were able to do anything about that timing pull issue. Might consider getting an updated tune if that's the case.

If it's been a couple years since you've been tuned there's been more advancements for sure. More advancements have also been made at the shift points and most of that retard should be taken care of now

That's cool. I can tell sometimes when I shift and wind it out hard when I get back on the gas it's not pulling as hard for a second or two, then suddenly it gets more power.

I'm assuming that's torque management kicking in right after shifts to prevent drivetrain abuse and reduce warranty claims haha!

Might be interested in getting a custom tune from you one day if that's the case. Maybe in the spring when the weather gets a little nicer. 0 degrees and snow on the ground isn't too good for doing WOT runs and datalogging haha!

When I got my tune from Johan he wanted me to make 1-2 WOT passes up to about 100mph as well as some normal driving while datalogging some common PID's. Is that sort of the process for you as well?

If anyone has a tuner and doesnt have a Hemifever tune, you are leaving power on the table. The canned tunes are nothing compared to what he does.
I'd be interested to see how his tune compares to my tune from Johan. I've heard good things about both guys, just ended up going with Johan a few years ago and have stuck with that tune since then. Heard good things about Hemifever tunes though!

I do a 0 to 70 mph log. I work with Johan almost daily lol pushing for more and more unlocks in the pcm.

I just picked up a lightly used Fastman ported throttle body for $100. this morning. That is the last of the equation short of the Tidalwave S/C kit coming later this year. Once I get the TB installed and start driving the car again I am going to try out a Hemifever tune. I have a Johan 91 tune right now with no data logging tweaking but very interested in trying the Hemifever tune.

I'm running a custom (dyno) tune from Johan via my Predator. I know that Diablo no longer supports the Predator, so my question is this - have there been improvements to the 6.1 tunes and if so, is there enough to make an Intune worthwhile?

the tuner itself isn't supported anymore but I as a custom tuner have the same abilities more or less whether its a predator or intune. So you'd be fine with an updated tune. I've not yet had the 6.1 2010 stuff setup yet for the recent changes I've been sending out. Diablo is so freaking busy working on 2015 developments that my "requested feature additions" are slow going lol.

Hey Sean, I was thinking about increasing my shift points by a notch. Is the tune I have now ok or does it need to be tweaked? I also still need to do the datalogging to send to ya. Can you email me what you need done? Thanks.

I'm a numbers guy (tax accountant), is it something like 20% less torque management, 50% less, 10% less, etc. Just curious if it'd be worth while for me to do or not.

So I installed Sean's new Race tune last night and it has made the car feel like an untamed beast lol. Took me a little bit to get used to the launch. I'm waiting for my Zoomers to arrive so that I can dyno the car. What I have noticed so far with this tune is the car seems to take off even at the slightest touch of the pedal. Thanks for the update!

I uploaded Sean's new tune last week and it has made the car quicker down low and shaved almost a tenth off my best 0-60 from 5.32 to 5.24 on cold pavement at elevation. Sean's tunes are legit and a great improvement over the canned tunes. Highly recommend.
