Just to add: the bananas are coming off but I read from a fellow member, and liked the idea, of keeping them on as a "rookie stripe" until the 500 mile break in mark, possibly after the first oil change after 1000.

Just a personal preference.....but there is something about those "banana" protectors...... for some unknown reason I kinda like the looks of them and I really don't know why? It kinda baffles me! Also, they are actually for sale from vendors all over Amazon for between $30-$40! Anyway, nice ride and welcome from WI.
