My first post in the General Discussion Section!

Tell me if I'm on the right track here. Since I can't spend more than 37K-ish on my (new to me) SRT 8. Here's where I'm at:

I'm stuck on Hemi Orange that was not available in 2014.
I don't want a Core.
The paddle shifter option was not available on the 2012's.

So I'm looking at 2013's. There are all manner of Black and Blue and White cars, but finding a Hemi Orange car has been much harder than I thought it would be. I want a car that has less than 5,000 miles, automatic trans, and I'd prefer the Harmon Kardon stereo---but that's not a must have. I'll be ready to buy in March and I'm trying to get as much information as I can together before then. Anyone have any idea on how many automatic SRT8 Hemi Orange cars were made in 2013? Or why I'm not seeing very many when I look for them? Maybe a better question would be other than Ebay, Autotrader, Cars.com is there a better place to go to find this car? Do I have my year models and options right?

I did a quick search and found only two 2013 Hemi Orange SRT's (not Core's)...one a manual and one an automatic with 16K miles. Looks like very few were made that year.

You may have to go back to a lower model year and nix the paddle shifters and use the AuotStick Mode instead....or change your color selection.

Chrysler quit disclosing that info back in 2010 (I believe) like they use to. I know people have emailed them and gotten that kind of info for their cars. Not sure if they will just for general info but it's worth a shot.

Almost no Hemi Orange cars were made in 2013. I actually ordered a Hemi Orange SRT about two weeks into the order window and never got it. Six months later I ended up with a Torred 2014 SRT (I'm happy with it, but not what I ordered). At the time, I had folks at SRT and my dealership trying to find me one on a lot somewhere to fill my order since the factory (for whatever reason) didn't feel like making me what I ordered. At the time there were like five sitting at dealerships and none would budge on making a dealer trade. I've since seen where a guy wrote Dodge to see how rare his Hemi Orange SRT Core was and it was like one of 22 or some such thing (don't remember the exact numbers). So my guess is there is less than a 100 Hemi Orange 392 powered SRT cars out there. Since you want an automatic the number will be even smaller as most of those I saw built last year were six speed cars. In other words finding what you are looking for is going to be tough, but I wish you well in your search.

Yes.....2012's have paddle shifters. I have a 2012 with them.

hey todd was just on ebay for my daily scouting mission and saw a 2013 srt auto,bad news it was plum purple not sure of entertainment center it did not list it in description,I know the feeling of trying to find that one particular car, hope it works out:smileup:

This is what's killing your search, why only 5,000 miles?

Anything with less than 25,000 is almost brand new.
