I'm looking for a good all around tire that performs good on the track and I can still drive on the streets with. I was told the Nitto NT555 is a good choice. Problem I see is that Nitto does not make this tire in 245/45r20 or 275/40r20 which was my original choice. They do make 245/35r20, 245/40r20, 255/45r20, 275/35r20. I was thinking maybe I can go 255/45r20 all the way around and keep the stock wheels or replace the wheels with wider onces and go 245/35r20 and 275/35r20. The question I have is will dropping the side wall that low affect me negatively since I will be dropping the side diameter by an inch? The ride I imagine will be harder. Has anyone gone this low with their tires?

I'm jumping in a little late, but I just ordered NT555 245/40/20 for the front, and NT555R 275/40/20 for the rear from Discount Tire. If anyone's interested still, I'll write up a review and post pics when they come in.

I forgot to add that these are for the stock 20x9 rims.

Got an update. Discount Tire didn't hit the button fast enough on the 275/40/20 NT555R's and someone else got the last two that was in stock in the warehouse at Nitto. After DT told me it would be a 6 week back order on the 275/40/20 NT555R and I blew a gasket in the store, I ended up with new rims and 305/35/20 NT555R's on the rear. DT did make it right, cut me a great deal on four AR VN805 BLVD 20x8.5 +5mm's on the front and 20x10 +15mm's on the rear.

TLDR;

20x8.5 +5mm 245/40/20 NT555 Extreme on the front.
20x10 +15mm 305/35/20 NT555R Drag on the rear.

Should be here Wednesday 3/18. Hopefully, I won't have to flare the fender well.

Will post pics/review when I get them. This probably won't help you make a decision anymore since you wanted to keep your stock rim.

Tires and rims came in today. Ran out of daylight and didn't get pictures of them on the car. I figured I'd start posting "before" pics now and get a jump on things for tomorrow.

So on to the review....

Holy shit, what a friggin badass tire the NT555R's are. The guys running NT05R's must feel like they have glue traps attached to their tires if those are stickier. All I can say is, they are worth every penny I paid. Night and day difference from the Bridgestones I had on there. I should have done this a year ago. If you're on the fence about the Nitto's, just pull the trigger. You'll thank yourself for them when you feel how awesome they are.

Now on to the first round of pics.

I'll post the rest tomorrow when I get good daylight.

The fronts are the same size as the stock ones. They fit perfectly. The 305's are 12.75 inches wide. I'm a finger gap on the inside and probably 1 to 1-1/2 inches outside the fender well. If you wanted wider and stay inside the fender well, you want the 275/40/20. I just got impatient. I'm still happy with the tires, and the rims look pretty sharp to me.

With the 10 in. rim, I can still drop back down to the 275/40/20. That's probably what I'll do when I wear these out. That will put the tire back in the fender well. The rim has a slight offset to fit the 305. The tire has some sidewall roll, perfect fit for the 305 is on an 11 in. rim I believe.
