Greetings! I am the proud owner of a new (to me) 2013 RT Classic. So far so good.

I have been lurking, trying to find info on how to adjust the bass level on the Harmon Kardon subwoofer. The 3 band eq is useless across the spectrum. Must be some trim or level control for the unit? If anybody knows of a post that discusses this, I would appreciate a nunge in the right direction. I don't seem to be able to find anyone else complaining about too much bass.

It seems from what I am finding that there is some kind of active eq processing, but it handles different media sources and file qualities pretty randomly. Some things sound great, but most are severely transformed by the audio system, and not in a good way. If there is a way to adjust any of it that I am not seeing, please share the magic.

Thanks!

Thanks for the Welcome!

Appreciate the greetings. I have had her for a week now and I am loving her so far. I'm another one who previously had a smaller faster car (Modded 06 Mustang GT running in the 12s) but am learning to love the slightly slower but much more roomy, comfortable Challenger RT experience. I know I will be sucked back into the "go faster" insanity eventually, but for now I'm trying to just enjoy all the stares and nods of approval at the "Grape Ape".

Knobless

check under the trunk liner for a amp, should have adj. on it
Yep, I have looked all over that bugger for a knob or screw of some sort and cant find anything. For what its worth, It seems like its when its playing from the hard drive that the problem is the worst. Probably poorly ripped songs that boost the lower frequencies for "average" sound systems. When you have a monster dedicated sub, it comes through more than another stereo. Thats why I want to be able to manually lower the level going to just the subs as needed without dropping eq from the whole system with the lame 3 band eq that barely changes anything.

Ill try posting this info/questions in the proper place. I just didn't see anything similar in the current discussions. Most people were complaining of low bass levels, not excessive.
