I know how you feel... I was forced to pass on a mint/stock 1970 Superbird for $5555.00 back in 1979. It was powered by a 440 / Six Pack / pistol-grip shifter. The Superbird and Daytona were not very popular with Mopar fans in the 70's, but I didn't care.Funny you should mention a 426 GTX...back in the early 90's a friend of mine had an original '67 GTX with the Street Hemi and he was offering it to me for $8500. At the time I wasn't aware of where the prices were headed, but thinking back now I should have jumped on that deal! He was a city cop and he'd regularly stop by on midnight shift if I was working in the garage and he'd let me ride along with him on Friday and Saturday nights. Those were the days for me! He also had a '70 GTX with 440 in that burnt orange color with a black bucket seat interior earlier on.
