When it rains hard or when I drive through a car wash...then open my trunk...a bunch of water pours out of the rear of the trunk lid right into the trunk.....

That's my only complaint.

:SHOCKED:CAR WASH!!!:str:Challengers are hand wash only! It says so on that little white tag that you are not allowed to remove "under penalty of law". Stay right where you are I'm calling the authorities:gun:. All kidding aside, I always open the trunk and dry all around the valleys so water hiding there doesn't pour out the minute you move it and ruin your freshly cleaned rear bumper.

Hey now...It's a touch less....besides, I live on a boat in a marina. Don't have a driveway with a hose....a man gots to do what a man gots to do...

I drive through the touch less, then park and dry and polish.

So...no corrosion concerns?

I drive mine in the winter and extreme cold temperatures here in Colorado wont allow a hand job, so yes I have the machine do it, but the color I chose is very forgiving to dirt, and scratches, as a daily ,I have never experienced the trunk/water issue, next time I wash it I will look to see what you are talking about

Yup, happens every time you wash it or it rains. The only help is to very slowly open the trunk to let the water go mostly into the channel under the window and flow out and around. Still some gets in the trunk. If you open quickly, a lot gets in!

I'll add one other "complaint". Have you all noticed how terribly dirty and grimy the back of the car gets when driving in rain on the highway? So much dirt comes flying up and all over the back bumber, fascia, lights, and trunk edge. I've never seen a car so prone to this.

Dry the trunk lid to get the bulk of the water off before you open the trunk, then open it and dry around the valleys, then close it and do the "final dry" on the trunk lid. Spotless shine will ensue:smileup:

There should be a law against that. :shakehead:
Well now Drew, you have no excuses to not hand wash. If I can do it in South Dakota, you can do it there. Besides, you guys are getting a lot more warm temps than I am! I won't be able to wash my car until maybe Saturday or next Wednesday. It hasn't got above freezing here for a week. I took a chance and washed her last week when it was 29 degrees. Got it done just fine!
