paint issue 2023 WB Scat

Does anyone know what this is- besides a paint defect? I tried a clay bar and compound to get it off and no dice.

It is located on the widebody flare. The car has less than 200miles on it.

I had 2 detailers look at it and they both said it is under the clear coat and came from the factory during paint process.

I bought the car out of town so Im not sure how much support I will get from them.

Once they kill the Charger/Challengers at the end of this year, Stellantis and these Dodge dealerships will be BEGGING people to just come into the showroom in 2024. They'll be dependent on Ram trucks and Jeeps to eek out a profit by the end of 2024. You reap what you sow. As the saying goes: 'Be careful of the toes you step on on the way up because they may be attached to the ass you have to kiss on the way down'.

And to make matters even worse, they were supposed to reintroduce the Dakota mid size pickup years ago but they've dropped that idea. They're the only major manufacturer that doesn't have a mid size or mini truck in their lineup Just gargantuan full size. And they even dropped the ball on the promised standard cab full size to boot. I like Rams and have owned several full size. But I don't want these gigantic one's anymore. I've been waiting for the mid size but I've given up and I'll ether get the all new 2024 Tacoma or all new 2024 Ranger next year. I guess they figure they have too many customers over at Ram so they can blow more people off. The only thing Stellantis can do to send away any more American buyers is to hire Dylan Mulvaney to do some commercials.
Does anyone have an idea on how this works? I have an appointment with the dealership on Monday to look at the car and I am bringing the email from Dodge customer care which states go to a dealership etc etc. Do I just explain I require warranty work and please contact Dodge with the issue? I'm clueless and don't want to get jacked around with by the service person who may not want to help and immediately dismisses me.
Expect the dealer to take pictures, they will have to send them to corporate for a decision which could take a while. I think the flares may come from an outside supplier already painted so there may more involved.

Yes replacing the flare will fix this issue.

Lol, I'm sure they'll have a new spokesPERSON that'll give them their high ESG score. Unfortunately, with Chrysler being taken over years ago by that investment group then passed around like a whore to Benz, then Fiat, now Peugeot, their creativity was corralled. Now these companies buy this manufacturer for their engineers and patents, not to better the brand. Look what Peugeot did right after acquiring FCA..... they dismantled the SRT engineering team and placed a few of them on each model. SRT started as a group of gear-head engineers in Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler who'd meet after hours and dream up how to build classic Mopar muscle and build crazy modernized, high horsepower muscle cars of today, paying homage to the brand's history. Those guys should regroup and form a new automobile nameplate. Like John F. Dodge said back in 1917: " Just think of all those Ford owners who will someday want an automobile".😀

It'll be fixed under warranty the sooner you address it with the dealership regardless of where you purchased it from. I had a fender alignment issue with my 22 scatpack that I saw the following day after pickup, while I was waxing it. Passenger forward edge of the door did not align with fender. Small thing, but bothered me about a brand new car. Dealer did not make a fuss about it told me to take it to a body Chevrolet dealership bodyshop which they use. I chose to take it another Chevy dealer bodyshop in my city. I paid $85 to fix it, scanned the invoice to my salesman and two weeks later I got a check in the mail to cover the cost. Fender needed to be removed and tighten two screws somewhere in there lol. Easy fix for THEM, shouldn't have to do it on a brand new car nut such is life right?
