So since last winter I have done a performance upgrades that include adding 180ts, custom hemifever tune, and solo cat back exhaust in addition to my CAI I did prior to last winter. I don't drive too often when roads are bad but after 3 weeks in the garage mine was wanting to run and roads were in pretty good shape.

Well I can definitely feel the difference my car downshifted at relatively low speed and my ass-end came around on me. Never did that last winter. Don't know the exact HP increase but expecting about 25 or so with the improvements. Baby girl got a good chance to stretch her legs in the cool air and she gobbled it up. 0-60 was only 5.34 but I am having to feather the throttle to hook up, something I never had to do before. I used to just mash it and go leaving the tcs on but in sport mode. Did the same last night and it roasted em until I was sideways and let off. Did it again a few time feathering into and had pretty good results. Better tires would help but satisfied for now. I don't know how you peeps with supers and cams do it. I want to find out for sure but that is a ways down the road. Car has about 8000 miles on it and just getting broke in.

Sound like a fun time! The weather here certainly has improved for winter driving! Drove today and it sure was fun! We are expecting a week of nice weather, highs in the upper 40's and even some 50's!! Can't wait to get out there for some nice driving. You haven't been stretching your legs enough! 8,000 miles is just a beginning! I have 26,000 and no end in sight! Have fun!!

Once you get to a certain power level you need stickier tires like a drag radial. I run drag radials on the back of my Nova because it was dangerous with street tires, it would light them up from a roll and get sideways. With the drag radials it stays straight.

I think Nitto makes some sticky street tires that are popular on modern low profile tire cars, might be something to look into if it gets worse.

It should hook up better in the warmer weather. The tire rubber gets hard in the cold weather and spins easier, not to mention you pick up some hp with the colder denser air.

How do you like that Solo catback system? I've been thinking about doing that for a while now, just never pulled the trigger. Everyone I've talked to that has it seems to love it. Is it much louder than the stock system? Does it burble on decel or have any raspiness to it? I prefer the deeper sound over the higher pitched sound some of the aftermarket exhaust systems give out.

One nice thing Betty is my office is only a couple miles away plus winters help the mileage.

Carl, I love the solo system here is the link to writeup and videos I have: http://www.challengerforumz.com/showthread.php?p=993116#post993116

It is definitely deeper, I did the muffler delete and wanted more. It is a louder then the stock system but not as loud as the Borla systems.

I noticed the same thing when I had my R/T, these Hemi's just seem to run better and better once you get a few miles on them, add to that the cool weather and a few mods and you can certainly feel the difference .
