Picking up a 2013 Challenger RT, Stick! Tuesday

I had 2 hemi rams, they were great. Everything is beyond the real value. I got lucky, absolutely perfect. I drove a couple of RTs
that had no 3rd gear. This was nice. Black Top Track package, I like better brakes and suspension. I know people like the cosmetics in the package, didn't matter to me

Welcome from Northeast Illinois - looks like a good candidate for consideration! Check the VIN for past problems like accidents, thefts or flood damage and also have a mechanic check it over thoroughly. Hopefully it's as good as it looks!

I did my homework diligently, I will always check vin and reports but they aren't flawless. I also sold Motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, PWCs. I had a true understanding of DMV, I was management but I work on everything. I was a Territory Manager with Toro/Wheel horse and Distribution simultaneously, I put almost all my own equipment together. I can actually diagnose lots of things, no code reader solved everything after they appeared.
I looked casually for 6 months. I came from CT and I'm in Tennessee. I drove cars that were disasters. Two RTs had no 3rd gear, and sorry but non speed rated tires. I've had tons of cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc... I was going to take a break, tired of looking at overpriced crap. This was on the market 1 day. I missed a nice RT Plum Crazy, clean, sold the day prior. This RT 5.7L shifts great, clean inside and out. Had an under 5 mph bump dead center rear. There wasn't any damage, yes surface is easy. I checked behind. I use magnets, little scopes. No Hemi tick. I feel that having the Black Top Track package option is very nice. I care more about the bigger brakes and better suspension. Obviously 20" was required for the brakes. Black is Hot and a bit of work to keep clean. Black wheels actually don't show the brake dust and road gunk. The cosmetics I guess is a bonus, some people look at it the other way. Has a cold air intake but they don't understand that K&N and similar filter need the oil. That's what stops the dirt and other particles. He removed the 2 rear resonators, welded in 2 straight pipes. Welded so well it appears like it from the factory. I already have a Tuner headed my way. I didnt read everything about brand name posts.
Probably I'll pull spark plugs to see what's there. I refuse to use the stock plugs, I have my preferred plugs. I just think every 30K for 16 copper plugs makes no sense. Ran platinum in my trucks, I was seriously thinking about iridium. Big claim to extra power?
I like torque and the lower it comes on hard the better.
Have any thoughts I may have missed? I'm tired but like to participate. I also bought this car for the comfort, has the full electric driver's seat with every function. I guess the perfect addition was if it had the premium sound package. I loved that in my 05 Ram 2500, that was an Infinity 330 wpc. Music quality was perfect, but my hearing was better then too.
Have a nice night. I have to see the other notices. You asked first.

Yes, I picked up my car yesterday and maybe you'll laugh. I'm 61 and I can't drive 2 cars at one time, so my Mom 81 had to go with me. I drove up in her 05 Grand Marquis via Interstate. She doesn't drive on the highway.
Anyway as I'm settling in adjustments, my Valentine 1, Garmin GPS. She gets into the passenger seat and was surprised how comfortable it is. "This is a nice car" and she asked me to start it. Has a cold air intake, prior owner deleted the 2 rear resonators. She said it's not loud, sounds nice.
My Father was a gearhead, charter member of a drag racing club in the mid 50s. So she wasn't surprised. He was a GMC, mostly Pontiac guy with family cars, Catalina he hated 4 door cars. The 71 was his favorite 455, Turbo 400, Dual exhaust, LSD, Rochester 840 cfm 4bbl. So she knew what rear drive and ass end out was about. I was 27 when he passed. She remarried, wonderful guy but wasn't a car guy. Drove slow, took no chances. He passed 2 1/2 years ago, that's why I am here. She is always grabbing the door strap and I really slow down with her. I just can't see her in my Challenger at this point. I had fast cars, my 71 Firebird was an oddball built car, and dual straight pipes into glass packs. Muncie M21, 4 speed and it was 9 years old. She sat in that and it was loud.
The reality is she doesn't hear well anymore, so that's why the Challenger isn't loud.:D
I just got a Diablosport I3, but I don't know what octane is in the full tank of gas. I guess I have to go run it down before I bother to start programming. Clean and oil the K&N filter, these guys didn't understand you don't use it dry, oil catches the dirt.
I must ditch the skip shift, only happened once. That's annoying!!
I'll change all oils and fluids too.
Thanks for the welcoming.
Drive fast and take chances. Just know your limitations! Haha

She sold on 5/23/23, to a nice guy up in Cave Creek. He just loves the car, as I did. So, it has its 3rd owner, and garage kept again. My SPWB shaker M6 was born on 5/4, but still hasn’t shipped. Estimated delivery is 6/1.
