Just as some others have reported power loss after exhaust/resonator install and delete; I as well had this problem. I really didn't notice it until this past week. Throttle response was similar to my 7,000 lb 4th gen ram I previously owned. After some searching here on the site I discovered the #2 fuse fix.

http://www.challengerforumz.com/showthread.php?t=40027&highlight=Fuse

I was skeptical that something so simple would correct the problem but was proven wrong. Power response came back to what it was before getting my exhaust done and I had the same feeling the day I had first opened the car up.

I wrote this for anyone that has or does experience this in the future. It's not your mind playing tricks on you, it definitely has lost power/throttle response.

Thanks for sharing this!

There's another member on here, GreenGoblin that just did a muffler swap and resonator delete and he's experiencing the same thing with power loss. Unfortunately his is a 2015 and I'm not sure which fuse he needs to pull as they changed from our older Challengers.

I've pulled the #2 fuse quite a few times and I always notice a difference if I've had to drive it slow for a while (i.e. heavy traffic, winter time, etc). It's definitely a real thing, not just in your head.

Yea after driving it slow for a week back and forth to work it doesn't seem to have the same pick up and go. Usually if I go to the track on that night I spend the day stomping on it and it seems to come back to life. Very strange never really had a car that did that but I have gotten use to it. It usually is the initial hit but once it gets going it feels back to normal

Yeah I really wish there was a way to disable this feature, adaptive learning, etc. I just want the car to be in performance mode all the time. I don't care about saving a couple mpg's. Just have to pull the fuse every now and then I guess. I just make it a habit every oil change to do that.

You can also reset the adaptives with a tuner with the push of a button. I like to reset mine after a road trip and every month or so. I agree with Carl and wish there was a way to turn them off especially with gas getting cheaper.

How do you reset the adaptives using the tuner? Do you mean simply reload the tune or is there something else on the tuner where you can go into just that area and reset it? I wasn't aware of that if that's the case.

This resets the transmission adaptives, not the PCM. You'll either have to reload the tune or pull the #2 fuse (which is easier) to reset the PCM.
Yep your right. Correct me if I am wrong, I remember reading on the tips and tricks website pulling the #2 fuse doesn't reset the TCM and to reset those adaptives you need to do it with a tuner.

Nice post bro. When I had my R/T RAM I used to reset the PCM and perform a quicklearn (reset learned adaptive in tcm) about once a month with the chrysler scan tool at work. I've always hated how chrysler transmissions "learn driving habits" That should be a feature that you can turn on and off.

I haven't driven my challenger long enough for it to learn anything but I'll have to give this fuse trick a try.

I have to say I am a little confused.. I have a custom tune from Hemi - fever, so am I good to go or is my car going to learn what I have done. I was under the impression I am good to go with the tune, and no need to reset anything. I can't say I have noticed any drop in power over the last year. As a matter of fact my current issue is traction....lol...

The adaptive learning is still functioning. Installing Sean's tune reset those so sometime in the future you will probably need to pull the fuse to get rid of any unless you drive it like you stole it all the time.
