According to our records, there were 989 Dodge Challenger R/T units built in Blackberry Pearl Coat paint for the 2012 model year and 369 Dodge Challenger R/T units were built in this color for the 2011 model year.

Jim, Thanks for sharing! I can't believe that many BB's were made. In the 22 months I've had mine I've only see 2 others!

That's about my experience too...had one parked a couple cars away at Carlisle '12 (guy was from Boston) and then I've saw ply67cuda's at the Skyline Drive cruise this year. Only one's I've seen in-person. The rest have been here on the forum, mostly in the official Blackberry Pearl thread.

I would encourage people not to get hung up. I'm not trying to hurt people's feelings either. There just isn't that many unique things being built that really make them that special. There are a few colors and packages that were put out that might add some value in the future, the Mopars 10's come to mind and the drag cars.

Rare and valuable don't always go together.

Challenge(r) accepted! Here's the e-mail they sent. I was suprised too. My car is a 27F package with the super track pack and hood to fender stripes as the only options. No leather or sunroof and just the standard radio. Just tellin' ya what they told me,:4-dontknow: if it's wrong it's on them

P/S mopar parts has a kit to make the T/A hood scoop functional, takes about 6 weeks to get and about 15 min to install. I blocked off all the air gaps and got 20 psi of boost at 70 mph then one of the seals blew and boost went to 5 psi,( the gasket between hood and air filter disappeared) I also took out the seal in bottom of air filter,( it filled air box with rain water.) still get 3 psi of free boost which = +2 mpg.

Here's the response I got when I wrote Dodge assistance a few months back:


Thank you for contacting the Dodge Customer Assistance Center.
According to our records, there were 1,151 Dodge Challenger SRT8 CORE
units built for the 2014 model year. Of those vehicles, 77 units were
also built in TorRed paint and equipped with a 5-Speed Auto W5A580
Transmission.

I have since seen the numbers for the breakdown for sunroof and hardtop for my color and that would get me down to only 52 built like mine. I think if you get real specific wanting to know the production numbers by color and options some of these will come down to some very low numbers.

The lowest I've seen is one of one, that car is a 2014 SRT Redline manual hardtop, there was only one built that way. Not sure that it really makes it worth anymore but still it would be pretty cool to know you have the only one out there like it.
