I have a 2010 rt. classic 6 speed. I ordered a set of flowmaster mufflers which have not been delivered yet. On the site I ordered them from it said they would fit a 2010 rt, or se Challenger. Well I read on here that the 6 speeds have 2 1/2" diameter inlet and outlet. And the only muffler choice that was on that website is 2 1/4". So my Question is are all 6 speeds 2 1/2" exhaust? Thanks

my understanding is the R/T challengers are all 2 1/4 inch diameter exhaust tubing. The Flow master cat-back system is 2 1/2 inches. The SRT8's are 2 1/2 inch diameter stock.

The article I read stated that the rt 6 speed challengers have 2 1/2" exhaust because they don't have mds like the automatics do, where 4 cylinders are shut off when cruising. If the autos had 2 1/2" exhaust it would be more noticeable when the cylinders deactivate. And I guess that's where the manuals get the extra few h.p. over the autos. Just wondering if this is correct?

345 engines with Autos are 2.25 inches
345 engines with 6-speeds are 2.50 inches
392 engines (all SRTs) are 2.75 inches
