I have a 23' Challenger Scat Pack and have had it for almost a year. Love the car, but starting yesterday my "favorites" on SiriusXM started acting up. I get notification "ding", the red notification on the upper left corner of the radio screen for a second and it quickly disappears. If I happen to catch it in time and click on it, the favorites page opens and it's empty. Happens over and over again, favorites page never populates with the songs/artists that are playing.

Did a search online and I see multiple posts form others, typically going back to 2021 timeframe, with responses from DodgeCare that they are aware of the issue with the Uconnect system and it will be addressed in an upcoming over the air update. No mention of the issues that I've seen online after that sort of timeframe, but I am definitely having the same exact issue with my radio.

I did go to the Uconnect website and check for updates, but confirmed my radio does not have any updates available currently...

Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated.

Dodge Cares is not a repair service or a technical support line, it’s a liaison between you and your dealer. Ask them a question like this and they’ll tell you to schedule an appointment with your dealer. To the OP, there, I just did it for you.

 

I thought that you were going to say that your favorite stored channels were disappearing. After an update, I noticed some channels disappeared, including many of my preset favorites. I have seen channels move around or change, like christmas stations in January or when the 50's, 60's, et al. channels moved around the dial from 5, 6, etc. I ended up calling the SiriusXM help line and found that the channels had somehow been placed on the hidden/skipped channels list. I never would have figured it out without calling SiriusXM directly, maybe give them a shot?

Hi,

My Sirius does this several times a year, called Sirius and they blame the dealership. Happens on my 2020 Challenger and 2022 Jeep Wrangler.

I suspect it happens every time they try to send s software update or steal your mileage to email you about vehicle status.

Same for me. Started a couple weeks ago. 2023 charger. This shit is getting annoying. I deleted every one of my favorites and started re-entering favorites and it worked for a second or two, but then by the next day, the same issues popped.

Mine stopped working on my "21 Ram about 2 weeks ago also. It seems it will work for a short time when the truck is started but then it acts up again a few minutes later. To me it seems like a Sirius XM issue, but I could be mistaken. If anyone has a fix for this, please post up. Thanks!!

My VW SUV has a similar issue of losing the Favorites that comes and goes so maybe it is a XMSirius issue ?
In my case I've noticed it is more likely to do it when I auto start it from inside the house and the phones not in the car when its started. I even had to drive home from upstate one day with no favorites or way to change the station, I had to leave it on whatever channel it was on (that was fun)

Same issue of intermittently favorites link working and then not working even though links appear. I cannot relate it to starting method or anything else. 2023 sxt plus awd w/nav

 

So far, no solution that I have seen and I have no resolution to the problem on my '23 Scat. As others have noted, it will work a bit after starting the car, sometimes for much of a drive, then it will stop working and once it stops, it will not work again until the next time the car is started... Super annoying!
I know, this is one of those "first world problems", the car is great, everything works perfectly fine except this radio bug/glitch. It started months ago for me and has persisted ever since!

 

On my previous 2 challengers, both 2010, I had given up and eventually purchased mid-level Kenwood head units to upgrade both which have worked flawlessly. I now have a 2023 and not planning to upgrade to another Kenwood just because favorites works intermittently--I will do so only if more significant problems arise. Unfortunately, part of the "Dodge Challenger Experience" that we buy into is the retro styling and modern performance, which inexorably comes equipped with these quality defects as inherent in the ownership experience. My experiences with 2 Dodge service departments have proved less than satisfactory, especially when compared with other manufacturers I have dealt with over the past 40 years so I have not sought their assistance with this.
