I recently put my Challenger to sleep for the winter and purchased a winter car. I ended up buying a 2002 Audi A6 for it's reliability in the snow. Even for a 2002, the interior looks so much better and is more technologically advanced than the challenger.

I know it's really no surprise to anyone who has a 2014 or below model..but people at Dodge really messed up on the interior design. It's comfy and spacious, but that's about it.

Just my rant for the day.

It's EXACTLY why I bought mine. Love the simple, plain and roomy interior. Reminded of the muscle cars of old:smileup:

Yup very 70s like, and it is easy to spice it up a bit.

The new interior is definitely cool, but I prefer the old interior because it's simple and basic. Can't say I know too many people who are disappointed in their Challenger though. Maybe you could trade it in for a 2015 if it really bothers you that much?

^ Agreed Betty! These new cars seem to do everything for you. I don't want any of that stuff, I just want to drive it and enjoy the experience. I don't want to be "connected" to my friends or social media with fancy touchscreens and navigation systems, I want to be "connected" to my car and it's engine/drivetrain! Haha!

I don't need a fancy interior with all the bells and whistles. I choose to mod my interior the way I want it, focusing on personalization.

Check out the 2015 interiors. Dodge (or maybe Fiat) did a nice job bringing the interior up to date. I was all ready to buy a 2014 challenger until I did a little research on the 2015 so I waited it out. But I've said it in another thread, I love the interior on my 2015 but the old interior did feel more like a muscle car.

Agree with everyone here.... The challenger and in this case the Audi are 2 different machines that appeal to 2 different styles in 2 different classes. European cars have always (in most cases) had the more fancier interiors, gadgety if you will, lots to look at it. For some people that is what determines the purchase of the car...the interior.

I like the interior of the Challenger , yes even my 09 R/T steering wheel and all. After time even the fanciest of interiors can get "old", yes you can do mods and make them your own and change when ever you want and it can be done with any car. So it's about taste and what rocks your boat.

The Audi is an awesome car and would make a great daily driver!

Yeah they had to update the interior on these cars to attract new buyers. If they had kept the interior the same they would have lost a lot of sales as there were a lot of people out there who loved the car but didn't really care for the "outdated" interior. To me the old interior was nice, but the new interior is cool too. I'm just glad the refresh was done right and they're still selling great!

Ok,

No one here is going to destroy you for your opinion, its not that kind of forum. For me, there isn't anything cosmetic I would have changed on my 2012 RT. My only gripe is that the stock exhaust should have been more aggressive. We shouldn't have to upgrade everything to get the ponies out of these cars when other manufacturers are doing the same for their customers.

Could the 08-14 interior be better... yes... is it as bad as the Avenger interior... NO. I have a '13 and honestly I like it... simple... basic... isn't cheap looking.. love the steering wheel with the radio controls.

And.. honesty... you can't compare an Audi interior to a Dodge car... no matter what the year. Completely different vehicles aimed at completely different demographics. Chrysler was in a bad place in 2007ish when that interior was designed.

Audi is famous for excellent interiors. I love Audi's but they are apples to oranges to a Challenger. I like the true to character style of the Challenger, it's an old school muscle car the way it should be. I personally don't like bells and whistles. I have a 27F package Challenger which for those of you unfamiliar has cloth seats and a regular stereo with no nav or touch screen or sunroof which I had to drive 200 miles from home to find when I searched for one. All I wanted was a 6speed R/T super track pak in billet silver with hood to fender stripes. I later found out that mine is only 1 of 9 made that way in 2011. I love lots of different types of cars for different reasons. Audi's are sophisticated German engineering at it's best. Their RS line is my favorite of course but all Quattro models will get my attention (I hate front wheel drive cars with the exception of the VW GTI). Audi's and the like are the scalpel to the Challenger's big hammer. I love my big hammer for what it is, a true muscle car.
