I took my car in to the dealer over the Christmas holiday because of clunking sound coming from the rear end. They replaced the differential assembly and both left and right CV axle shafts. I have had the car back for a week now and I`m hearing a backlash sound on deceleration is this common or do I have more rear differential problems?

I had that problem once and put it on a hoist and my driveshaft bolts were loose. Yikes.

You should hear nothing, take it back in. Do you have an Automatic? What rear does it have Std. or anti-spin Getrag?

Yes it is a automatic and it does have the antispin rear differential.
