I have a new R/T badge for the trunk deck. What's the best way to get the old one off without damaging the paint.
Thank you in advance.

Heat with a Hair Dryer on High and Use Fishing Line after you can use a Rag with 90% Rubbing Alcohol from Amazon or very light damp Rag with Lighter Fluid on a super soft
Microfiber Cloth just enough to wet it and rub gently a few times to remove the residue. I do not recommend Goo Gone because it makes a Gooey Mess before it cleans stuff off.
After you get it cleaned off wipe again with Rubbing Alcohol and then you should be good to apply the new one.

See if you can find a printable placement template online. If not, cut a piece of butcher paper and shape it to trunk edges. Rub soft leaded pencil over existing badge before removal. After cleanup, punch pin holes in critical locations. Tape to trunk and dust over holes with talcum powder. Remove template and...perfect placement. Of course, no one would ever know if it's not perfect except you...lol

and James says I have OCD, LOL...

My Replacement Scat Emblem on the old 1320 was actually set in a Jig (template), made it so easy 👍

Soldier, You can also use Dental Floss, used it to remove / change my old Scat Pack Emblem on the Rear Wing on the 1320, and removed the DODGE on the 1320 and Hellcat.
Dont ask me why but I have a bag filled with Dental Floss on a little Dinosaur handle (I think they're Dinosaurs) was so easy using that :ROFLMAO:

The shirts in my closet are all hung equidistant with buttons all pointing the same way and matching hangers over the rail. But then, everybody does that, right?

I heated mine up with a hair dryer for a couple minutes and slowly levered it off from one side to the other. I used a plastic tool to lever it off gently and did not let it come in contact with the paint. A microfiber cloth was against the paint while levering the emblem off. I was lucky, there wasn't any glue residue on the paint.

A couple years back, a dealership down by Albany, NY had a low mileage Hellraisen Scat I was looking at, the bee badges on the side were missing, like they were torn off. The adhesive was still on the car. Like to know how they got pulled off, that adhesive is like cement sometimes. The one on the rear spoiler was torn off too. Can't believe they were selling the car looking like that. Said they weren’t replacing them either. I couldn't believe it.
