I thought I would do a little write up on rebates/incentives.

The reason for this is that I had a customer in on Monday 01/05. He was looking at buying a vehicle, as I was getting his entitled rebates from Chrysler, I told him that they expire at midnight on 01/05 (which was true). He started laughing because he thought I was trying to lock him into a deal that second.

That wasn't the case, I told him that the rebates expired then, because thats exactly happened. I also told him that there was a chance that they could be better on 01/06 or worse, but its a chance we take.

Anyway, he took that chance and luckily the rebates stayed the same, he bought the vehicle in the end and was happy with my honesty.

So this is how rebates/incentives work.

Location
Rebates are always calculated on your location, so you have to provide your zip.

Buying or Leasing and type of vehicle
Again, rebates are very specific. Most of the time you would get a better rebate on a lease than you would on a purchase. SRT vehicle never qualify for rebates either.

TDM Info
You may be in Chryslers targeted customer list, have your sales rep run your last name and zip in the TDM configurator to see if you are eligible.

Summary
Rebates can save you alot of money, especially at the moment if you are looking to buy a 2014 model.

When you are negotiating, ensure that you ask to see your rebates first before any price is discussed. Many sales reps will try to make it out that they are doing you a huge favor by taking a couple of thousand off the sticker price, when in actual fact its Chrysler already offering this. The dealer loses no money on rebates.

So get them first, know what you are getting off sticker from Chrysler, then negotiate!!

Great info. Do you know if every Dodge dealer is obligated to accept my Company's Chrysler Employee price discount ?
I can't see any reason why not, its a Chrysler rebate, so the dealership doesn't lose out on anything.

We have a few companies out here that offer a JCDR discount to employees and we honor it without issue.

Its probably worth knowing that on almost all of these offers exclude SRT vehicles though.
