Has anyone had any experience with RER CD Player system requiring firmware update for 09 and 10 models that are experiencing system stability problems? If you have any info I would love to hear what your experience is. Thankz :4-wavey:

my dealership has it on order. They don't really know if it requies a flash of whole system. any info is helpful. My desire is a permanent fix,, not a work around. Stability issues don't resole themselves and should be a recall as it is an inherent system problem.

We have 2 RERs, 09 and 10. Running 2.402/2.404 firmware. What are the issues and what firmware version are you running?

not sure of that ,,,, original,,, never been updated. my concern is do they need to do cpu rflash? will changes screw my dynotune up and do I have to put original tune back in before firmware update?

If you have the original RER firmware it is buggy, really buggy. Upgrading the RER firmware has nothing to do with the PCM or flashing it. However I would never take the car to the dealer with a custom PCM tune installed because they will probably upgrade the PCM as a matter or course and you will be screwed on the PCM tune.
