Owners Manual

I just keep learning more and more cool things about this car on this site, thanks folks!
Think I'll try this one on my wife also
Dave,

This reply is not meant to make you or anyone else look bad but this is
really no secret. It's on page 24 of the owners manual and its in the
first part that is titled page:

24 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING YOUR VEHICLE

Express Down Window Feature
This feature allows you to remotely lower both door windows
at the same time. To use this feature, press and release the
UNLOCK button on the transmitter and then immediately press
and hold the UNLOCK button until the windows lower to the
level desired or until they lower completely.

So when you and others here are having a slow day, look over your
owners manual, like things to know before starting the car, and you
might find other tidbits of info that you never knew existed!

If you do not have a copy of your owners manual on your personal
computer, I highly -no, strongly suggest that you download a copy
for SRT8 or Challenger 5.7L and store it in the MyDocuments folder
on your desktop.

http://www.dodge.com/en/owners/manuals/

You can even make it a shortcut in Windows so you can one-click away
from doing a fast search in the search box for any keyword to see what
the "owners manual" has to say about it....

Those who know me, know I have been beating this drum for a long
time.

little drummer boy....

Are your arms tired from all that drum beating? LOL ;-)
Well Paladin, I guess I get frustrated at times for the many many
questions I see get posted (and not just here on ForumZ) from
owners that ask questions that are very clearly answered in their
Owners Manual.

Now, I know we live in fast times.

Now, I know we live in hard time.

And, Lord knows, I know we live in trying times as it is...

And we just don't have time to sit and read some blasted dull boring
totally un-interesting lack-luster, seemingly semi-technical mundane
text describing some shadowy function that I could give a solid rats
azz about.... UNTIL I need to know that little piece of techno-crap that
I have got to have NOW!

In other words, I need someone else to tell me what I need to know.

Ok, so my role is changing from the Owners Manual Drummer Boy to
the Computer Manual TechnoGeek boy.

So, Download a copy and place a short cut on your desktop and you
can have your answer in say <two clicks> of your mouse and a single
key word search????

Couldn't get simpler that that right?

Oh, and thanks again for your support Paladin...:D

Very cool, I read a lot of my owners manual when I first got my car but have forgot alot of the features it has. Also I dont drive mine every day, once a week on average, obviously a little more when it's nice(spring, summer), so I enjoy re-learning things on here rather than going out and looking at my owners manual. Thanks BigSnake!! and Latenite1 both.

Thank You [email protected]

Another vote on perhaps WHY you should may the Challenger Owners
Manual A DESKTOP ICON.....! You won't have to log on here to ask a
question about why your windshield wipers don't work when you turn
on your head lights..... ?

Or vice versa... :D

Then you have more time to find out what Chrome wheels will look
the best on that Challenger you have...

Directions ???

I enjoy learning from participating, hands on. Besides its more interesting and retain-able coming from Big Snake. But, I did down load all 3 Owner's Manuel's for my fleet of Hemi's. Any of you Ram Owners 2006, 2007, 2008 I have a .PDF Factory Service Manuel in its entirety. Over 6000 pages. Wished I could locate one for the Charger and Challenger.
Thanks for the web link. :4-wavey:

I too read my manual and love the feature but just cannot get it to work regularly? While my FOB works at great distance to unlock the doors it will not lower the windows unless I'm quite close to the car and then no matter how hard I push or how long I hold it works only sometimes and rarely all the way down and only when close to the car. Anybody else have this issue?

Question about the FOB Battery replacement: How to you reprogram the FOB (if necessary) after replacing the battery? If there's a thread on this, I apologize. I plead the fifth for being a "newbie"...heh heh.

rdrnr1963;

Everything you need to know about this and the important warning(s)
are at this link below;

Also, go to the top of the page and note the rest of the info that a new
Challenger owner might be interested in later on.

I tried this on my '12 R/T several times. No go. Might I need to go into the EVIC menu to enable this feature?

Same here, I sure did feel silly looking out my window trying to do this while locking and unlocking to reset it:4-dontknow:

Should not need to go into the EVIC to operate this feature.

Assuming the battery is good and you're not too far away, try pausing for 1/2 second before pressing and holding down the unlock button on the transmitter the second time.
