I noticed that happen on a scat recently that was working on construction job around my block. Not sure what exact year it was, but definitely newer.

If it were me, and the replacement badges were $250 or less, then I would replace it myself. Not worth the time and hassle of bringing it to a dealer to m. I’m on the handy end of the spectrum, so I wouldn’t mind doing it myself. I’d just put some blue painters tape around the current badge location so that I remained pretty close to the exact OEM alignment when putting the replacement on.

$250 for something the dealer fixed while I was at lunch for free? Sorry, but have to disagree. This is what warranties are for.

You must have a good rapport and trust in your dealer.
I wouldn’t trust most to make me a cup of coffee. Even if you trust the mechanic working on your car, I’d worry about the valet kid whizzing around the parking lot or letting your car idle for an hour.

Hell, even inspections I drive into the bay, plug in the ODB2 and put the sticker in the window myself.

I have a fine line between being cheap and trusting
