I only wash mine with Dom Perignon
I’ll drink to that!!
Can I ask what the two bucket system is? I use one bucket and rinse the towels or switch to new ones depending on the dirt level. As said, yes it's safe from a water intrusion stand point. While the Shaker has it's own water drains, make sure you remove the Shaker dome and clean under it to keep these clear.
But, I would NEVER take my SPBW Shaker through a car wash. I have more respect (and love) for it than that. The paint on the Shaker is very thin (ask me how I know). I hand wash using car shampoo and the 2 bucket method followed by specially prepared car wash drying towels after that.
2 bucket system is car shampoo in one bucket and 2 bucket is water, after you wipe the car with the wash mitt you rinse and wring it the second bucket that way the wash bucket remains uncontaminated from dirt and grit. Can I ask what the two bucket system is? Okay, thank you for explaining, it makes perfect sense. I will start using that system. I usually filled a 5 gallon bucket with soap and water and hoped the grit settled on The bottom.2 bucket system is car shampoo in one bucket and 2 bucket is water, after you wipe the car with the wash mitt you rinse and wring it the second bucket that way the wash bucket remains uncontaminated from dirt and grit.
What @Dodgeguy said ^^^^^^^. Only thing I will add is that I actually use "3" buckets as I wash my wheels first (with my "rinse" bucket). Then I wash out the bucket, toss the wash towel in the dirty pile and refill the rinse bucket with fresh water and proceed to wash the car. The brake dust that comes off of the rims is abrasive and I don't want it anywhere near my paint. Can I ask what the two bucket system is? I need to buy two more buckets…. I purchased the 16 Scat Pack with 28,000 in January. and it was a California car. The car had tons of swirl marks and light scratches on it from a cheap automated car wash. I have worked hard to remove the scratches and most have come out.. I am committed to washing by hand only and I keep it out of the rain and snow so I don’t need to wash it as often. What @Dodgeguy said ^^^^^^^. Man, I would never dream of taking any nice car thru a car wash. Goodby paint!I have a 2022 Challenger Scat Pack with a Shaker package. It has the two exhaust holes next to the headlights, is it safe to go thru a car wash with them? Seems like a water ingress issue
I do the same! What @Dodgeguy said ^^^^^^^. Only thing I will add is that I actually use "3" buckets as I wash my wheels first (with my "rinse" bucket). This is the show I watched last Winter on the History Channel. Interesting to see how they have progressed since the 1970s...rated PG for violence.I wish I could wash at home but the water is too hard and spots my car badly. I’ve looked at getting systems to fight the spots but it’s just easier to go to the car wash, the kind without brushes that beat your car to death.
OMG! 45minutes? Sorry, I'll just keep doing what works for me. Not watching a video or using a car wash anyway. No offense, but dinner (Fire House Subs), is waiting. This is the show I watched last Winter on the History Channel. Interesting to see how they have progressed since the 1970s...rated PG for violence.
