A new hive of bee-lievers

The Scat Pack is back! Dodge is rolling out Scat Pack performance stage kits from Mopar, which can help boost the performance of the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 up to an additional 58 horsepower and 47 lb.-ft. of torque.

With the Scat Packs, Dodge enthusiasts can get the maximum performance from their Challenger or Charger and not void the factory powertrain warranty – it's an industry first from an Original Equipment Manufacturer. Any 2014 Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger R/T modified with the Scat Pack 1, Scat Pack 2 or Scat Pack 3 performance stage kits by an authorized dealer can count on the warranty remaining intact.

The Scat Pack kits include items such as cold air intakes, a performance camshaft and performance exhaust components. More importantly, each Scat Pack includes a new powertrain control module that maximizes the performance of the hardware upgrades.

The Scat Pack has a long heritage, just like Dodge. It started out as a club in the late 1960s for Dodge performance enthusiasts. It included a national Scat Pack club membership, decals and merchandise. The vehicles that made up the Scat Pack included the Charger R/T, Coronet R/T, Dart GTS and the Super Bee. The vehicles were built to be upgraded.

The new Scat Pack kits are built to complement the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger and include a numbered hard badge associated with the performance stage, so enthusiasts can display the emblem proudly on their vehicle as a badge of honor. They are designed to be added on one at a time. Your badge will reflect the Scat Pack level at which you've invested.

Here's a breakdown of Scat Pack pricing:

SCAT PACK 1 5.7-liter
Starting at a U.S. MSRP of $2,195, Scat Pack 1 offers gains of up to 18 horsepower and 18 lb.-ft. of torque, and includes:
Mopar cold air intake
Mopar cat-back exhaust
Stage 1 performance PCM
Mopar low restriction oil filter
(2) Scat Pack 1 stage kit hard badges

SCAT PACK 2 5.7-liter
With a starting U.S. MSRP of $1,895, Scat Pack 2 yields increases of up to 30 horsepower.

Works in conjunction with Scat Pack 1 and features:
Mopar performance camshaft kit: includes camshaft, tiebars, heavy-duty pushrods and gaskets
Stage 2 performance PCM
(2) Scat Pack 2 stage kit hard badges

SCAT PACK 3 5.7-liter
The top-tier offering, Scat Pack 3 ratchets performance up to an exhilarating 58 horsepower and 47 lb.-ft. of torque and a U.S. MSRP of $4,995:

Works in conjunction with Scat Pack 1 & 2 and features:
Mopar performance CNC ported cylinder heads
Mopar hi-flow headers
Mopar hi-flow catalysts
Stage 3 performance PCM
(2) Scat Pack 3 stage kit hard badges

The Scat Packs are designed to retro-fit any Dodge Charger or Challenger dating back to 2008. Scat Pack 1 is available beginning this month and Scat Packs 2 and 3 will be available in July.

this is the information everyone has been waiting for... nice find jkelly...

i kind of have one problem... the scat pack stage 1 seems awfully expensive for the HP you get... $2,200 for 18HP...

yeah, i can see all the extra stuff you get with that package but can't you gain 18 HP with just a tuner for a whole lot less money?

 hey, wait a minute... why is the stage 2 less money than the stage 1?!?!

I think you have to add them all together. Makes it a ton of money for 58hp.

There was a video on the Vilocity channel about two weeks ago. They explained the three stages and showed most of the hardware. They also said installation was extra.--:4-dontknow:

does anyone think this is going to be a flop for dodge? they may sell a few packages to unsuspecting new buyers but for the average car buff, i think they'd know better and may be able see better gains with that kind of money... like mattal21 says, it's pretty steep...

I guess Dodge will leave us with the SRTs out in the cold.

I would love to have a SCAT option for my car, especially since they are about to trump their fastest challenger with a new bigger badder hellcat version.

Scat Pack Details (Paint job)

I'm diggin the paint jobs... love that two tone... looks like high octane red and black. I am glad Dodge is offering 1 stop shopping for the average Joe to supe up their cars w/o worrying about warranty issues and have the option of getting 1,2 or all 3 stages upon taking delivery or going back to have them installed (I assume warranty is included). Unfortunately I have long since added my various touches over the past almost 5 years since I took delivery of my 2010 R/T in August '09 and there's nothing there for me at this point (WOW! 5 years already?!). I do however have an appointment w/ Mr. Petty the week before this Easter to have my suspension all redone and some other goodies. Lotsa doe for lotsa smiles comin up. I do feel bad there's not something being offered for the SRT team such as a retro fitted supercharger as they have real beasts under their hoods just aching to be exploited. Overall, I guess the way I look at it is... if I were going to spend 9K starting price on all 3 stages plus labor (another 2-3K?), I'd probably consider a super charger, headers and brakes, etc instead or.....replacing my beloved 5.7L w/ a Hellcat crate motor for another 15K (27K total) or so and say (Checkmate!). Now...If Dodge will offer my R/T a retrofitted warranted supercharger then....

Ya they are not offering that paint job and they are. To offering that red color! It's a custom red color.

I like that red a lot and wish they had it I would buy one.

 Yeeeeeikes!!!!!! I am going to go ahead and void my warranty.......The way it sounds, the 5.7s can be pushed a lot more than what they do from the factory...........Now if I was buying a 14, then yes a stage3 would be the choice to go with, but I have a question for those that have the tuners........How much more gain can you get after a tune on a 5.7 auto?

One of the parts listed in Option 1 is a low restriction OIL FILTER. Really?
Which one? Mopar? Somebody else's brand?

Is there a parts breakdown yet with numbers?
