Scat Pack Shaker production is slated to begin April 21st. The Shaker is NOT a limited edition, they will build as many as are ordered, just like the Hellcat. The SP shaker option has been delayed - as was the R/T shaker option - to make it easier for their dealers to learn the product line and simplify ordering. That was the original intent anyway but due to product shortages etc. it has not been a smooth launch....

I have to disagree with that date.

As of last Friday FCA's official word was that it will be available to order in Q1 of this year.

Our Chrylser rep believes that it will be mid to late Feb. I'm not sure how accurate his info is, but he is usually correct.

Nor is the dealer learning the product line true. We have already taken the training courses for all Challenger products in 2014, including Shaker vehicles.

We did a refresh on SRT vehicles in Jan 2015 and that is it.

The delays are purposeful, the specific trim levels have timed release in order to get out what they want to get out.

Believe it or not, one of the main goals was to achieve a decent order ration for the base models, the SXT has taken up 38% of all Challenger orders in the country, so the profiling has worked.

They then slowly (but purposely) release the other trim levels to maximize sales.

On occasion, they do run into product shortages, that's because the estimated targets have been exceeded, but so far there is no allocation restriction on any Challenger, apart from the Hellcat (obviously), so at the moment, all is well :)

Good info Andy . I predict when the shaker does become available things will quickly stop going to plan and go down the shiter . I love the shaker as I'm sure a lot of others do to so when the rush comes and the pressure goes on , well you get the picture . I actually feel most sorry for the dealers always stuck in the middle , I ( eventually ) walked away with a awesome car they just move to the next impatient buyer . Shaker mod one day . :naughty::smileup:

Disagree all you want, we will have to see what happens. And a build date is not an order date. I hope you are right!

This and the extended roll out to simplify ordering were taken from a published interview back in August/September. I know that all the dealers I have spoken to are embarrassingly ignorant of the Scat Pack vehicle. I have been told it can now be ordered with full leather, with the shaker package, in Hemi Orange, with the WP3 wheels, etc. Looks like all the model-specific training didn't stick very well...

There is no point coming on a forum and bashing, just because someone doesn't agree with you. There are other forums which would gladly accept you.

Any information I provide on this site comes from FCA, I don't make it up, nor do I post any information on a whim.

Plenty of rumors go around which start people worrying, which is unnecessary.

If the order/build dates change, then there is nothing that anyone can do about it (and just for info, build dates depend on many factors like volume, spec etc. They aren't cast in stone), its just life. As it stands that what I was told, from an FCA manager to my face, so I believe him.

As for your comments regarding training, again unnecessary, product specific training is limited at best, if other dealerships do no use the resources given to them afterwards, that's up to them. However my dealership has specialists in specific areas, such as myself, who knows plenty about Challengers.

That's all I really have to say on the matter, its a forum, a friendly one at that, so lets keep it that way.

People chose to believe what they want, you are voicing your opinion, as am I.

All,

I have been chasing after the order dates for the 2015 scat pack shaker for a while now. In an out to the dealership (one of the biggest on the east coast) in PA since early December trying to get info. Last weekend, they were telling me the latest info they could dig up was shaker would be availability in May. I called Dodge customer service in Detroit on Friday of this week. After being put on hold for about 10 minutes, I was told the latest information they have is the order books will open sometime in April. So I will have to agree with GotRPM but I am still hoping it will be sooner.

Hi all,

I received a bit of not so good news today.

twice a month, FCA sends out a build schedule with any notes etc. regarding builds.

Usually something like "you can no longer order a moon roof on a Grand Cherokee Laredo in this allocation due to plant constraints". Something along those lines.

Unfortunately the 392 Shaker has fallen into this category. The order date was due to be yesterday, but they are now saying March "due to plant constraints".

I thought something wasn't right, because I ordered 2 R/T Shakers on 01/20 and they haven't been accepted as orders yet, which is strange.

Our Chrysler rep insists that I have to have faith and look towards the end of Feb still, but at this point, I'm not sure.

I check the order books every other day anyway, so I'll keep you guys informed.
