Is the 2015 Scat Pack model considered an SRT by Dodge definition?
I participated in the Dodge Double-up lease program and it states I can't lease or purchase a SRT product.
I currently have the 2014 RT Heritage 6 speed and plan on going with the Scat Pack but dealer is saying it is a SRT product. I claimed it is NOT stated on the window sticker as an SRT like the SRT 392 with different hood, suspension, brakes and stereo etc. They claim because the Scat Pack has the SRT bezel on dash vent and SRT engine and name plate on valve covers it IS a SRT product.:4-dontknow:
Are these guys for REAL? I have two months left on my lease and I have to use them because of the program rules. All I want to do is give them the 2014 RT and get a fully loaded Scat Pack , pay them $9000.00 so payment will be a little cheaper to keep wife Happy:smileup:. But no they say I can only do a fully loaded RT Plus.

Perhaps Andy from Westbury JCDR can chime in on this.

The scat pack doesn't come with the SRT experience like the SRT 392, the scat pack includes the Dodge performance pages while the SRTs include SRT performance pages, and the scat pack isn't on the drivesrt.com website so my guess would be it isnt an SRT vehicle.

X2 on that. The nature of the beast tends to put us here on the Z on opposite sides from the dealers and Andy has been a HUGE help and a kind of missing link between the two sides.
Yes he has, and that is a very good question (SRT) or not.

I have to second that, Dan! Andy has been able to look at it from both sides of the fence and translate the dealer's side for us. He's even given us some great tips in "combating" those evil salesmen.

From where I stand, it is clearly a Challenger R/T with an option package. the window sticker says R/T, and it does not come with any of the SRT perks, so in my feeble mind, there is no doubt it is not an SRT. However, for insurance purposes, it seems most companies do not have the Scat Pack info, and due to the content of the Scat Pack package so closely resembling an SRT, the insurance companies seem to use SRT rates for it while acknowledging that it is an R/T.

Speaking of such, I was at Best Buy this morning and spotted a Sublime Challenger in the parking lot, so naturally I went over to investigate. It turned out to be a Scat Pack, and I must admit, photos don't do that color justice.

As I walked around it checking it out, I noticed that the owner put an SRT8 badge on the spoiler.

I'm gonna have to raise the bulls&^$ flag on this!!

Scat Packs are powered by SRT. That's it.

I bought the 392 Hemi right side engine cover for mine and left the left side stock Powered By SRT on the left.

That's clever....I like that!

Sorry everyone, I didn't even see this post.

This is probably a bit late now, but the Scat Pack is definitely not classed as an SRT product in any way.

Its actual designation is R/T Scat Pack, so technically is isn't just an R/T either if that makes sense? Because of this, it does carry its own incentive program, which is usually different to the R/T incentives program.

If you guys ever need me to answer anything quickly, shoot me a PM, I will get back to you ASAP.

Apologies again.

I think hp to lbs ratio has something to do with that.
It could have, I'm not certain. Here is the message they sent me back.

"Since we group certain models together based on the information provided by the manufacturer, other models may be listed on your auto insurance ID card. However, your vehicle is properly insured under your policy because we obtain the important details about your vehicle, such as, gross vehicle weight, safety features, body series and type from its Vehicle Identification Number. It is these factors and not the vehicle's model name that affects how your vehicle is rated and insured. In the event of a loss, your assigned claims adjuster would confirm the model name of your vehicle before any settlement offer is made."

Becouse the Scat Pack wasn't in their system yet...AAA made me fax them a copy of my bill of sale to give me a price for my full coverage. They wanted more than just my word of how much they would be out if something ever happened.
