A while ago there were some comments regarding sun coast creations who manufacture after market shaker hoods, has anyone had any recent experience with them, I was considering ordering from them if they have improved their customer service.

You can now order the factory package that came on the 14's.... i have the factory car but i think it is better than the aftermarket versions.

I haven't heard anything new with Sun Coast. If you don't have the warm fuzzies with them then I can recommend Cervinis as another aftermarket alternative. I purchased a hood and ram-air kit from them and the hood, kit and service were very good.

If you own a Dodge Challenger that came with a Shaker hood. The mounting studs that hold the hood part number 68233364AB to the base plate part number 68233366AB will brake and mine broke on my fourth oil change at the Fernley NV Dodge Dealer. I called the Dodge Corp office about this problem and they are looking into it at the engineering department. They might come out with a change to those studs but in the mean time I have substitute those studs with the McMaster-Carr part number 98093A440 and they are Class 10 Hex Flange Head M6 X 1mm X 20mm. They come 100 per package at $9.90 per package. There site is www.mcmaster.com.
