Shark Fin Antenna

I have seen a couple of the new 2015's at local dealers and IMO the shark fin antenna looks so out of place. It makes that rear of the car look taller and doesn’t match the exterior design of the Challenger.
Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes I don't like it. But is it all the rage and people complained the original antenna was not sharkfin so they got it.
Not a big fan of the shark fin either.
Ya I dont like it either. I had a 2015 loaner for 3 days and the shark fin just didnt match the muscle old school look of the exterior. Sometimes less is more.
I do prefer the older design but I'm OK with the shark fin.
I don't like it but I do want all the electronic goodies
Didn't like it on the BMWs that had them years ago, don't really like it any better on the Challengers. I prefer a satellite antenna that's unobtrusive. In fact, there's no reason Dodge couldn't have hid it in the spoiler. The signal easily permeates through as long as it's not shielded by metal.
I agree. The shark fin makes it look more like a "Euro" car. The "dome" antenna from older models seems to be a little less conspicuous.
I guess they are trying to keep up with the Jones... SRT Jeep has it as well...
Not all 15's have the shark fin. I have the R/T plus with the shark fin and I have seen a 15 R/T without it. I prefer it

Yep!!!!
The only two things I dislike about my car is the shark fin and the "HEMI tick".

You mean that's the only reason we have it? The old style worked very well for me and it wasn't as visible.

My first car was a 69 Pontiac Catalina, but didn't know the displacement. I bet that 428 GP runs pretty good

I think the shark fin cover for the antenna can be replaced with the previous box style cover. They just snap over the actual antenna module. Both antennas appear to be the same size, with the exception of the style of their covers.
As far as I know the cars that come with the uconnect 8A touchscreen have the shark fin so they must have something to do with it.

My wife's 2014 charger has the 8.4 touch and doesn't have sharkfin, reception and nav work flawlessly.
butt ugly.

Guess it depends on paint color, I don't even see mine unless I look for it (black car)...I kinda like it otherwise...it's no biggie to me either way...my question is how many can reach the darn thing just stretching for it at stock ride height..LOL
I just hope it works better than the old design. Since I have Sirius XM, I don't listen to local stations much but when I do, I have a hard time getting good connection on AM stations. Not a problem in my other cars.
