25k for 2014 with 67k miles yikes do the hand a small jar of Vaseline with that when you get your Fob?
Pre COVID that was the argument to negotiate paying below "sticker" for an ordered vehicle. Dealer had no money in the vehicle -- mainly no flooring costs, no "advertising" costs, etc. Vehicle arrives customer comes in pays for the vehicle done.Quick FYI. My local dea.er threw a $ 7500 dealer mark up at me . I said no and shockingly they said ok. Just ordered 2023 scatpack widebody. They asked what I thought was fair I told them nothing , your doing nothing but placing the order and taking delivery. So you can challenge the mark ups.
Sorry for the late response here, I was busy right before Thanksgiving! Thanks for that, but I am a "new" car kind of person. I want totally new and have the money to pay for it with my trade in. So it just seems the best route for me.Here you go Betty, I’m going to save you thousands, cancel your order. I noticed this beauty, 67,000 mikes, a 2014, for the low low price of $25,000. Elbe’s auto sales, Macomb Illinois. No I am not working on commission.

Congrats Martin, that will wake up the neighbors.OK, decision done.
You might me hear reasoning few times ago... With family support, I truly feel blessed for, we concluded that while resources are in fact available it would be sad to regret for the rest of life not having done this: 2022 R/T 5.7/A8, Shaker-hood, F8 green.
Paperwork to bring Sheri - Christine's younger and a bit wilder sister - home, just started today morning.

CONGRATS! ENJOY that beauty!!!
I went through CarMax and got a 2021 Scat Pack manual transmission with under 8,000 miles and saved about $5k USD in the process. I have no regrets. Just one perspective and option. (Purchased five total vehicles from CarMax dating back to 2012)I have been having discussions the last two days with two different dealers on buying a new 2023 Scat Pack in Plum Crazy. Wasn't going to share this until I actually got the car, but I thought it would be good to share this now, get your opinions, ideas and also maybe help a few of you who are interested in getting a new one. My choice of dealer was taken away as my dealer in Rapid City, SD was only allowed ONE new Scat Pack. It was purchased last week. This was before I realized that there would be NO other allotments on the 2023's. Dodge has totally lost their mind at how they handled the new 2023's. But that is discussion for another thread. Yesterday and this morning I searched on the Dodge website for dealers in my area that I could buy a new Scat from. Two dealers that are about 200 miles away each had 2 Scat Packs available to order. The first one in Kearney, NE wanted $5,000 over the MSP. They also require the $5,000 up front! The second dealer in Grand Island, NE was MUCH better to deal with. While they want $3,000 over the MSP, they only require a $1,000 deposit. I have the funds for this car. So I am willing to put up the extra $3,000 to get my last challenger in Plum Crazy. I wanted that color in 2020, but as luck would have it, they discontinued it! I am not getting the dynamics package this time, so that helps, but the price of these cars is up considerably since 2020. The price now is $54,605, without the markup. My current 2020 Scat cost $47,964, then $4,850 was taken off in that incentive they had going on. My trade in on the old 2016 Scat was $28,000. It didn't have the dynamics pkg. and had about 38,000 miles. They are saying my trade in value for the 2020 Scat will be somewhere between $36,447 to $38,825. So I consider this about as good as I will get. Then I can quit thinking about it!! Please feel free to give me opinions and disagreements! This post is to help others and me!!! Thanks for reading!
Congratulations Martin! I am glad I read through some old posts in the forum tonight or I may have not found your great news...Sheri is finally home. I put some 50 miles on her today, ceramic coating & protective foil for front + rear ends and mirrors are scheduled for next 2 days. Then better a winter sleep till spring makes the road clear - summer tires, Hemi torque and our wet muddy slippery winter roads are a bit wild mixtureOne has to really feather the gas... Nevertheless the feelings from the R/T Shaker are great!
That is great, glad for you! I wanted a new 2023, and also wanted Plum Crazy. So for me this was my only option. I am patient, not in a hurry to get it. Since it will be my last challenger, I wanted to get it right. This is going to be my 4th challenger!I went through CarMax and got a 2021 Scat Pack manual transmission with under 8,000 miles and saved about $5k USD in the process. I have no regrets. I ordered mine on 2/15/23 from Miller Dodge in Phoenix. They will charge $7500. over msrp and 1k deposit that was among the few dealers in the state with the sales volume that could do the order, so that’s what I had to do.Tomorrow, I am going to tell them I decided to buy it, but I want them to take a $1,000 off tacking on the $3,000. Stay tuned!
"You can't take money with you then but you will experience the joy now" & "we would be happy sharing your joy" was the message from my family when we talked about the 2nd Challenger and the decision settled...I ordered mine on 2/15/23 from Miller Dodge in Phoenix. But on the other hand, it’s only money and one thing is for sure-I can’t take it with me!
