Yes you can turn slotted rotors, however it is hard to find a place that will do it. The process is the same, but most shops are unsure of the outcome so they tend to stay away from doing this.

It all depends on the thickness of the rotors, there is a minimum thickness and if turning them gets below that that then they are no good.A lot of shops moved away from turning because rotors have gotten cheap, $25.00 for some. Also the thinner they are the more prone to warping and unhappy customers.
Yeah we had a lathe in the auto shop at high school and we'd measure how thick they were and if there was enough meat on them they'd go on the lathe. The price of rotors was definitely much higher now you can find cheep replacement rotors for probably less than it would cost to turn the rotors in most cases.
