Winter sucks and I'm going through mod withdrawal :( can't do anything outside or in my non-heated garage to the car or truck...so I needed a fix. ( twitch twitch )

I color coded/accented my key fobs. I used the touch up paint for the truck on the truck's fob and some pin stripping I had left over on the Challenger's fob. We'll see which one will last longer, my money is on the pin stripping. Nothing special in the prep, light sand, clean and then painted ( 2 coats), just cleaned on the pin stripped one.

Nicely done Rob!

I hear ya with the withdrawal going on.......
A snow plow took out our mailbox, so last weekend I had to put up a new one.
Vicki thought I was nuts when a PCP box with dual white stripes showed up on the post!!
At least I got to spend some quality time in the new garage with a couple rattle cans and a few 12 oz. beverages!

Rob (Vin57) Why don't you insulate your garage. I am just finishing up with mine. Doing the small spots where the 4x8 sheeting didn't reach. Lowes and Home Depot are my new favorite stores. lol Bought a propane heater (indoor safe) and now I say bring on the below zero weather. Doing the rotors and pads on the wife's Mini Cooper tomorrow. Instead of $300 in mods I now have a warmer garage to work in.

I love it Jon! Definitely need pics of that!! I also would like to do a few things to my car, but about all I get done is cleaning it! Then it is too cold to do anything else. My garage is not heated either. It was a good thing I got that drive in the 70's on Tuesday.

Rob, great idea on those key fobs!! Maybe I will have to come up with something to do inside the house!

It is insulated with vapour barrier , but still gets pretty cold in there. I have been thinking about doing up the garage better, nice flooring, lift, better insulation etc. If I do anything it will be a summer /fall project, and more than likely a bit at a time, there are more important things to get done in the house before that, one day I'll have it set up.

Part 2

part 2 ...on the truck fob, wrapped the back with carbon fiber and painted the Ram name, then on the tailgate key, painted the Ram logo using a toothpick.

On the Challenger fob, wrapped the back as well with the carbon fiber and painted the Dodge name

well that's it for the fobs.
