I wish I had the money to buy a 1970 T/A back when you could find nice original or restored ones under $20k. I like the T/A because of the retro looks. I still wish it had a 1970 T/A style hood, but this 1970 'Cuda AAR style looks pretty good. I think the contrast between the black and white makes the white ones look best.

Wow! Lots of similar stories on here. Mine is simple. I was a car crazy teen and fell in love with the 1970 Plum Crazy T/A back in the mid-1970's. Life just didn't take me to where I could get one young. Fast forward to the new generation of Challengers and BAM! In love again. Life circumstances just kept that dream on hold though, but I never gave up. Then 5 years ago my son surprises me and pulls up in a white/red leather 2013 R/T and says 'Sorry dad, I got one first' but tosses me the key - symbolically - since it was the push-button start! Even though I owned a 5.7 HEMI RAM 1500 2WD short box std cab, the Challenger 5.7 definitely ran harder. I'm hooked. So 5 years go by and I retire and decide it's time to order a new Last Call and build one online. Widebody R/T Scat Pak in Hellraisin (the Plum Crazy on the new body just didn't get it for me anymore) but let it sit to simmer and make sure that's what I wanted to do. A few days go by and I see this GoldRush 50th anniversary widebody T/A for sale used. I absolutely LOVE the look of that car. The colors, the wheels, but it had too many miles for my liking & too much $$$ . . . I still think I want new . . . but THEN a super low (6k) mile pristine GoldRush 50th anniversary T/A ScatPak pops up in North Carolina. Hmmm, I do some research . . . always in the South (no winter, no salt) I get loads of pics and the price was right. So, I hitch a ride with my daughter to Charlotte and drive home in my dream car. I can now die a happy man . . . after MANY years of driving the new T/A though!!
