I was heading home from work today and about to get onto the highway. This guy behind me in a Nissan Maxima was right on my butt, clearly in a big hurry, must be much more important than me. :4-looney:

So we finally get to the merging lane on the highway and the guy decides to dart out to the left and tries to blow past me as if I'm not quick enough for him or something. Wasn't about to let that happen, so I downshifted into 3rd gear and nailed it. Goodbye Nissan! Haha! Poor guy was trying to keep up but he kept falling further and further back and eventually just let off and stayed back. Sorry pal, you're not going to tailgate and pass a Hemi Orange Challenger in your Nissan, nice try. :hah:

Luckily there were no cops around because I hit 90mph pretty fast!

Haha yeah I know. Funny thing is though, most people blow by me on that highway when I'm doing 75-80mph. It's like the autobahn or something haha!

Haha, us Detroiters love to piss off each other on the road, passes the time while commuting haha!

I traveled to Portland a couple years ago for a work trip and asked the lady at a local party store near the hotel how safe the area was for walking around. She said it was a nice area, very little crime, nice people, etc. Then she asked me where I was from. I said Detroit. She immediately responded..."Oh you'll be fine then". Haha! She must have assumed I was packing and knew how to fight or something. I'm just a dude from the suburbs haha! Funny the image people have of Detroit.

Carl, I think I would have probably done the same thing. Sometimes it is just hard to restrain ourselves. Today I was getting ready to turn onto the highway and a newer Mustang went by with what looked like a father and teenage son. That kid stared at my Challenger a long time! I loved it! I followed that Mustang for 15 miles on my way to the "jail break town." Sure would have liked to pass him, but just didn't get the chance. There wouldn't have been any police, they were all busy today!

Good job, Carl. I thought about moving this thread to the "Kills" section and then decided it was more of a humiliation than a kill. Poor guy didn't realize what he was dealing with.

Yeah I usually drive pretty normal most of the time, just get on it around town from light to light for fun but don't go much over the speed limit. Sometimes people just piss you off though haha! The guy was riding my tail all the way leading up to the highway, then he was going to blow around me, just wasn't having that today.

That's the joke when we go up north ("up north" for a Michigander means going up into the northern part of the state where most people have cabins on the lake or in the woods where it's more rural and country-like, etc). When the sheriff goes by the other way on the highway, you know it's time to go fast and have some fun, he's the only cop in town up there haha!

Yeah I really wasn't trying to race him, I just didn't want him to get around me because he was being an jackass haha! I think he really was trying to keep up and get around me back there but eventually he just gave up.

Sometimes I think the bright orange color just pisses some people off. I had one guy in a Toyota Prius next to me at a light years ago look over at my car and just shake his head. Haha!

Probably pissed he couldn't find a battery station to charge his battery, that and the fact he wasted his money on a slower car he will probably have for 5 years lol.

Haha that one made me laugh man! Where's that darn extension cord, I thought I brought it with us honey!

Can you imagine making payments on a Prius? How depressing. A monthly reminder of a horrible decision you made years ago. :i_rolleyes:

I live in Allen Park, which is "Downriver", just south of Detroit. I've lived here my whole life, moved a whole 2 miles away from my parents when I moved out haha! This area here is pretty nice, but it's kind of scary how close we are to some much worse areas.

My wife and I want to move to Florida in a few years. Want to go somewhere warmer and stuff.

I know where it is.

I had a few dates with Gloria Bonora who was the mayor of Lincoln Parks daughter back in the early 80's . :D

I couldn't take the humidity of Florida, out West suits me better.

I wouldn't mind moving to Arizona, love the desert and scenery out that way with the rocks and stuff. But my wife isn't too sold on that idea haha! We both like Florida though. Hopefully we'll make it happen in the next few years.

I don't know what I'd do down there driving on those super smooth roads all the time. I'd have to bust up the pavement in front of my house and create some potholes so I wouldn't get too homesick for Detroit haha!

I would love to live in a warmer place to. Winter and snow is just a waste of time, time that you could have spent driving your Challenger!
